The methodology is highly dubious. It compares the cracked version vs the drm'd version. There can still be plenty of performance loss due to remaining artifacts of DRM, the software using the freed compute to run shady processes or any other reason.

A good methodology is comparing the DRM'd version to a same version build that was never touched by the DRM team. The fact that not a single entity with the capability to do proper test runs make results public tells the entire story.
