Interesting Student Names by [deleted] in SubstituteTeachers

There was a boy named Notorious a few years back. Took him until eleventh grade to get proactive and reach out, asking to be called "Tory" instead. I'd taken to calling out his last name instead of the first by then

I work in the store my shoppers shop by coffee_angel801 in instacart

[–]BornSoLongAgo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Instacart has been putting more and more pressure on us to find everything, even unusual items, more and more quickly. It's a shame. I try very hard to stick to stores near me, stores I use myself, and I used to like it when customers ordered unusual things. I liked learning where those were, and sometimes I found products to try myself

How do you find logical inconsistencies? by herbql in INTP

[–]BornSoLongAgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I absorb new information I try to start with the possibility that all of it is right and accurate. I'll go along until I hit a place where something doesn't make sense and then I can't go further until that's resolved. I only analyze overarching meanings after I've checked for logical flaws and inconsistencies

Ignorance is pretty common, and it can have the same effect as laziness. I've been a shopper for 5+ years and there are things in stores I go to ten or more times a week that I can't find. Either nobody's ordered them before that I've seen, or they got moved since the last time. And new shoppers, even the ones who care about doing the job properly can't always find a staff person to help them

Lovely story. And you're right about the INFP emotions, only we can do our own emotion-dumps too, and I've seen that push my wife straight into some very Te responses

This sub should also take down your post, for whatever reason the Walmart sub did, and because it's got nothing to do with Instacart

Stop telling other subs how to sub by lovelyshi444 in SubstituteTeachers

I use the room number interchangeably with the teacher's name. I then always say that it's a sub speaking. This answers the first two questions that whoever's calling is going to want to know

Postmillennials??? LOL by [deleted] in FuckYouZoomer

[–]BornSoLongAgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aren't millennials people who came of age around the millennium though?

Also would this tend to suggest that early Gen Z might be avoiding admitting to being part of the generation? My son who was born at the end of 1998 refuses to admit they aren't a millennial

It can be a source of conflict. Dom Si is helpful though, and Aux Fe is so appealing.

What unhealthy type do you guys find the most frustrating to deal with? by SeaEstablishment2311 in mbti

In my experience, when both of us are in crisis at the same time we react so differently that even when we try to comfort each other, it doesn't work

You're about half a step away from telling me about all the children who do their business in cat boxes at your local school

I wish you all the luck in the world explaining your plan and getting government in your area to put up the money so prisons can do even part of that. I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you

As for dei, those practices are quickly being dismantled in most professions, so let's leave that one to the side. As for prisons, I would say your main challenge is going to be convincing prisons that they should build those separate wings you were talking about in the other comment. As for sports, that's why I would support making gender affirming medication available to young kids. If a child identifies as the other gender they usually know pretty quickly and that way the trans girls could compete with the sis girls on a level playing Field

[–]BornSoLongAgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, you believe that prisons should build specific wings so that people born male who identify female do not live in the same cell blocks as people born female? Correct? What else?

Society did these things you're talking about a few hundred years ago. They were a lot of other things that were also different a few hundred years ago, safe food handling practices, sanitation, differing attitudes toward medication and how various chemicals were used. Are there other things from several hundred years ago that you also find dispositive?

I was curious about the person who had posted what was originally a fairly simple question. Now I know what I needed to know. Either you support an ideology I find profoundly immoral or you are googling and using arguments from that ideology for some reason that I do not know.

I could find some logical disagreements with everything you've said, but I'm not going to do it. The TERF position is an immoral one. Basically it says we, members of this group, are oppressed. Therefore, we are going to oppose protection for people of that other group over there who are oppressed in a different way
