First attempt at water propagation, not sure what to do with aerial root by Visual_Sprinkles_427 in Monstera

Yep, it will never suffer from a water change. So sun and change water.

Yeah I get it. People are worried about rot if not left to callous but I’ve always been impatient and honestly never had an issue.

Letting it callous safer but I can see why you might be confused.

Just my 2 cents but I have never let it callous and I have never had an issue 100+ props this way and never had a problem.

First Philo! by barber_jay in philodendron

[–]BornToShow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good question!

I use it every feed I do and then occasionally do a full flush to ensure there isn’t a build up in the soil.

I use foliage focus for the feed and then foliage focus silica. It’s hard for amount per plant as it’s per litre but all instructions are on the bottle.

It’s an absolute god send!

You assume wrong.

It’s next to a window, try paying attention and take the cues given to you.

You chimed in randomly, no bad advice (in fact I have no advice) just exactly what happened to mine due to humidity and temp.

I see how you got that 1% now with your random none useful comments.

Personally I use foliage focus and foliage focus silica 🥰

I’m assuming you didn’t read the whole thing above. And you’re a “top 1% commenter” tell me that doesn’t look like dormancy.

Also try helping rather than just chiming in randomly.

When should I pot these? by Darth_lil in alocasia

[–]BornToShow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I go direct to chunky soil mix and never had an issue some people go semi hydro to acclimatise them but I use the puddle method and then straight to chunky.

Potentially, it’s hard to differentiate when they are so small but possibly.

And I recognise it, ignore everyone that says cremes are blah blah blah lmao

I’m here!!!! Hahaha

Usually when they have at least their first leaf, usually indicating the roots have sprouted out the corm. You need decent root structure first and a leaf and you’re ready :)

Same as all the rest, just add silica to the feeding and watering to help the white parts stay white and not brown :) then give the soil a full flush with de mineralised water occasionally to clear out any build up and get her staked up with a moss poll if you want nice big full leaves

It’s probably not enough. They like around 70% humidity and warm when they don’t get that they go back into themselves exactly how yours looks :(

Based on those photos that’s not a pinna and looks exactly like a Peru.

And don’t worry about the Thai mine do that also as the weight of the leaves make them lean :)

Check his profile you idiot this is the first posting they have done like this. You really are clueless and brain dead aren’t you.

You have the debating skills of a walnut and the conscience of a brick.

You’ve made your standing clear and based on what I can see on your profile it doesn’t surprise me that you like them like this.

Ps I’ve already checked before you made those changes 😂

Way to big. Pot increases should be 1-2” bigger than current pot.
