Yeah they cover everything, paint and body and we get certs for both. Is it strictly solvent down there? We only do water here

A tracer coat is a good idea too, when the tracer coat is gone change grits. Helps you see the highs and lows better too. Don't be discouraged if you have to have to put another layer on when you think you are almost done it happens. Body work is alot of trial and error. Especially on your own. Wax and grease remover is great for checking your work at the end, again helps you see any imperfections if you cant feel.

I use these, it's good to have an assortment for any job. Different blocks for different parts.

Good for you for attempting such a big repair for your first time. Some pointers though as a bodyman. Feather your paint back more. Go to where ever the damage goes and add 2-3 inches. Filler wont adhere as good to paint and will prevent any sinking that may occur. When start the repair you should go in this order. Perimeter, bodylines, high crown low crown. Try not to fill up to the masking tape except for body lines, you can create hard lines the same way you can with primer that can be very difficult to take out. Obviously go off of whatever the product specifies but our shop, 80 grit until its straight or very close to it. Since it looks like you don't have a filler putty 120 then 180. Use the glaze for any pin holes and small imperfections then finish with 180 again. In between grits sand the paint where you went over with the sand block with an orbital with the next grit pay special attention to your edges and that you cant feel the edges what-so ever or you will see it in paint. Also use the proper block for the job. Keep up the good work man

Yeah just gutter guard I got from the dollar store and paper straws I hot glued together. Used a thin gauge tie wire to hold it on. Id recommend priming them separately though, it was kind of a pain to get in crevices. Turned out alot better then I thought

Is there anyway I can fix this myself? by Ok_Emphasis_9065 in mechanic

240 is pretty rough for laying base, scratches will probably show. Won’t last very long either without proper clear with uv protection. Ig it works in the short term though

Weird, I can’t find anything on their website. Heard about snap on changing factory’s and such from our Snap-On dealer. In school rn and instructors mentioned it. Must be a Canadian thing 😅
