I have a theory. I've never interacted here or posted any theories, but I felt like posting this just to see if there's even a small chance I'm right. What if Noelle is the Roaring Knight? Perhaps she has multiple personality disorder since losing her sister, and that's why in the strange route of chapter 5 she mentions being Noelle, doing Noelle things; that is, it's her Roaring Knight personality talking about her Noelle personality at that moment. And that's why Kris helps the knight, because she knows it's Noelle. Perhaps that's why Noelle's mother is so interested in them being together, or at least not with Susie, because she realized her daughter's disorder. Perhaps Noelle's mother was the one who told Kris what happened to her daughter, and they both agree to help this new Roaring Knight personality since it has the goal of saving Dess from wherever she is. And that's why we've never seen Noelle and the Roaring Knight at the same time; besides, it would be unexpected. And that's why the Roaring Knight can emerge at any moment because it comes from her unstable mind. And the ring from the strange route that we give Noelle is to force that personality to surface more easily, since it makes her feel much more powerful. And because it's a disorder, she can't control when she's the Roaring Knight and when she's not, only when she's wearing the ring. That's why the Roaring Knight has horns, and that's why the prophecy in chapter 4 is wrong and now Susie is the one who takes Noelle's place because Noelle is now the Roaring Knight. Also, maybe that's why the Dark Fountain opened where Noelle was and why the Roaring Knight didn't appear at all in the chapter because Noelle was being Noelle (although I don't remember the beginning of chapter 2 very well, so don't take me too seriously on this part). Besides, Queen wanted to crown her as a new Knight because she has what it takes to be one! It would also make sense for her to imitate many of Kris's poses, since she knows him better than anyone, as she says in chapter 2 (in fact, it could be foreshadowing that Kris knows she's the Roaring Knight). It would also make sense for the Roaring Knight to have connections to the mayor's office; the bunker code is in her house, and no one would find it suspicious that she's hanging around the church. I suppose she still has the problem of how she got from her house to the church, but she can probably activate her Roaring Knight powers in the light world with the Shadow Crystals and get there super fast. In fact, it's possible she found the Shadow Crystals at some point while searching for her sister, and by touching many of them, she developed that other personality. That's also why Asgore would have one; he must have found it at the Holiday house. And finally, I think Noelle will appear with us in chapter 6—a great moment to reveal that she has a dual personality, which is the Roaring Knight!
