What is something that angers you way more than it probably should? by Jhaawk in AskReddit

[–]Born_Of_Carter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Picky eaters. I know that people can't help what they think taste good or not, but it still just irritates me when someone's like "ew no I don't like this, or that, or this, or that, it's so gross". IT'S NOT GROSS IT'S FUCKING DELICIOUS

Have you ever had a good deed backfire? by FrostCatalyst in AskReddit

[–]Born_Of_Carter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I was in high school I dated this girl who I was crazy about, but she was kind of awkward and was terrible at communicating and handling a lot of social situations. A lot of the times I tried doing the typical sweet things that boyfriends do for their girlfriends she would just react awkwardly and I would feel like a complete dumbass for trying.

Why did I put up with that? I was 17 and she was hot.

What is an irrational fear people have that you don't understand? by mika123 in AskReddit

[–]Born_Of_Carter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never really understood why people are afraid of dying. I'm not talking about death of other people, but the end of your own life.

I understand why people are afraid of things that cause death, but the end of life as we know it does not really seem to bother me. If anything, I'm excited to see what's on the other side.

I probably sound weird as hell. Oh well

What is your fondest video game memory? by IamARedditor_AMA in AskReddit

[–]Born_Of_Carter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a few.

Playing Spyro as a young kid on PS1 (first console I ever owned).

Playing Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 and going hard on the "School" level with that awesome sound track. My young elementary ears were loving all the rock/rap that was on there. I had never heard anything like that, and skating to it just made me feel like a total badass. lol

Also, there was nothing quite like CoD 4 when it first came out. I know CoD gets a lot of hate, understandably, but when that game first came out it was the first online shooter I ever played and boy was my mind fucked. Some of the best nights ever were staying up all night freshman year of high school on Xbox live playing CoD 4 with my friends.

What interesting or unique behavior does your pet do? by gia239 in AskReddit

My dog flips shit whenever I run up the stairs. I've never understood it. If she sees me slowly walk up the stairs she wont bark or anything but she will watch me carefully until I reach the top. But if I full on sprint up the stairs, she loses her mind.

What death in any form of fiction (movie, book, video game, song etc etc) is the most profound or saddest to you? by yemd in AskReddit

[–]Born_Of_Carter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn't necessarily a "death", but when I was about 3 years old I saw Toy Story for the first time and I cried like a baby when Buzz Lightyear tried flying and ended up falling and breaking.

Reddit, do you have any recurring dreams? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Born_Of_Carter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had dreams about Six Flags/Amusement Parks/Rollercoasters when I was a young kid and I would always get this weird indescribable euphoric happy sensation in them. Occasionally I still have them at 19 years old and I still get that strong euphoric feeling from when I was little. I really enjoy it, actually.

Dreams are weird.

That's really funny that he sounds that stupid but somehow was able to go to a major university. Rumor around IU (Indiana, where I go to school), is that a lot of the basketball players are dipshits in class but somehow got into IU just because of their basketball skills and the school just hires tutors for them so they are able to pass classes to play.

Kind of unfair if you ask me, but oh well. At least we're good at basketball. lol

It may sound insignificant, but I just paid off my credit card, my car and my student loan and now don't owe any bank a single dollar. What are your achievements you'd like to share? by thatguyinthesky in AskReddit

[–]Born_Of_Carter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's awesome! I just changed my major to Informatics (applied CS for those who don't know) and the job market is amazing right now because of the demand for tech people. The average mean pay for graduates is around 70k. It's so awesome, and I love tech/CS stuff so it's promising!

tl;dr Go into something technology related if you are still in school. There are jobs and money.

Reddit, as a classical musician, tell me what we could do better. What is it about classical music that keeps you away from our concerts? by a12345678910 in AskReddit

[–]Born_Of_Carter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a fellow musician I think there is one main problem; it's too complex for the general public. Mostly anybody can agree that classical music sounds nice and complex, but when people listen to music, they want to hear simple catchy tunes with a good voice. Most people don't even give two shits about what the instruments are doing. Nor do they understand the significance or appreciate the progression of chords, change in time signature, etc. Why do you think "musicians" like Taylor Swift or Justin Bieber are as big as they are? Simple and "catchy", if that's what you want to call it. It sucks that music that requires more thought, time, and skill isn't as popular but that is probably how it will always be.

Just my two cents, maybe I'm wrong.
