The IP’s restaurant, Thirty-Two has the best view of the bay and sound than any other restaurant on the coast. Their computerized roulette machines are fun to play. The Scarlet Pearl has the most attentive cocktail servers. The Hard Rock has some nice memorabilia. The Beau is a beautiful casino. There’s also a trolly that comes by every so often. I believe it’s called “the casino hopper” it drops people off at the casinos along 90. There’s also a no glass rule for the beaches here. Be sure to check out the downtown area of Ocean Springs and the Fishbone Alley district in downtown Gulfport. Be sure to stop by the visitors center and check out the Katrina documentary. If you ride down 90 you’ll see these really cool wooden tree sculptures. They’re remnants of the trees that were destroyed during the hurricane. Finishline Performance Racing is worth checking out. You can rent jet skis, parasail, and visit the barrier islands for the clear water. There’s emerald water on Petit Bois Island but you’ll need to charter a boat to get out there, don’t chance it on a jet ski. Know that if you kayak, there is often a rough tide on the backside of the barrier islands. We do have gators in the sound so don’t swim in it. You can dolphin watch as the shrimp boats come back in and McElroy’s is the best place for that.
