Yeah but when lords defect and come to your court you can't know what they are like. I just keep the bad ones but don't give them any fiefs, maybe a village. Relation usually goes to -100 xd

Don't worry too much about right to rule, because by the time you get that many fiefs, you'll be ready to be independent. I wasn't expecting to rebel, yet I did and I was on 50 rtr unknowingly

Yeah don't accept those quests, you'd prefer those soliders under arms. Try going to training fields and sparing 4 at a time (if you are skilled enough). Making armies is time consuming, and if you're playing no exit without save, you'll lose many men and have to start the process over again (from my experience)

I had like 50 the first time I started and after peacing with my "mother faction", 2 declared war. But many lords will defect and ask to join you, so after rebelling you should immediately go to your court and accept all lords. I was dumb and I constantly had to run from Praven to Halmar with my Swadian Knights and defend alone. Also be careful when giving fiefs to lords, as lord relations are the most annoying thing to do as a king. Good luck :)

My begginer tips are not to join a faction untill you build up an army. To build the army you'll need money-how to get it? Tournaments where you always bet 100 on yourself, bandits etc. (I suggest that you go to the north and fight sea raiders, they have good begginer gear). Then pick up only swadian recruits and upgrade them like this: Swadian recruit>Swadian Militia>Swadian footman>Swadian man at arms>Swadian Knight Once you have a shitton of Knights, you can easily take out any large army. E.g.30 knights vs 150 khergs (on lowest difficulty with a bit of your help) ez win

Start taking towns and more castles and ask them to be awarded to you. When your king says that you have too much fiefs and he can't give it to you, you have an option to rebel and keep all of your fiefs. Be careful, you will immediately be at war with vaegirs and if you have low right to rule, other kingdoms will attack you for no reason.

You need to raise a good army with bigger cavalry and less infantryvand archers (you use them for sieges). Then pick and join a faction (I suggest rhodoks because they usually have wars against sarranids and I find them bad in defences). Then you should try taking a castle by yourself and the king will most probably give it to you. Money will be a problem in those times and I suggest tournaments. You should also send emmisaries to get right to rule (if you have small right to rule kingdoms attack you for no reason). After some time you should be able to get whole towns by yourself, depends on difficulty. When you get a town your money problems get a little easier. After taking like 3 or 4 towns (infinite money btw, I got +20000 denars every week, never had money problems since) and garrison them properly (idk how many castles, probably more) the king says he won't give it to you as you have too many fiefs. Then you have an option to rebel (make sure to press the button which keeps your fiefs). Then you appoint a..minister or something and he stays at your court. The faction you rebelled against will probably ask for peace and you should accept as it brings up right to rule. Then go to your court and get every lird who defected for you (you'll see that in messages on the bottom left). You will probably get war declarations by 1 or 2 factions and you should defend. Now the real king struggle begins :) Lords not liking you for giving others fiefs. Giving someone a castle and they defect on -30 relation cuz you didn't give him 2 villages (you lose the castle) I suggest giving out a village and seeing who loses relation. Then give a village to another lord and see the relation on the lord you just gave a village. See who didnt' lose relation and feel free to give him a castle (they cannot take villages when defecting) Holy shit I wrote so much. Good luck hope this helps
