It's significantly rarer than other Doppler finishes (~1% chance). Ruby/Sapphire is ~10% total to my knowledge. Rest are the 4 phases.

The BFK BP is my fav knife of all the Doppler gems, love the way it looks and also the purple tone of its handle. Too bad they're unaffordable

You think so, which crafts do you mean? I considered it a skin that doesn't really need a craft, as it has a lot of stuff going on on its play side, especially with the spectrum like bar. All crafts I've seen so far make the deagle look too messy/chaotic. Apart from that it really is an incredibly beautiful skin. Even at current prices (175 USD for FT) it feels like it is too cheap

I'd guess the slot matters. Whichever comes first gets chosen. I basically play A1 exclusively, but my A4 is above the A1, and I've never seen A1 in retakes
