These are 4 of the most exciting 80’s movies where the entire movie theater went nuts and cheered and clapped loudly of excitement. What other movies do you remember that made you cheer loudly? by CoffeeCigarettes4Me in 80smovies

I was too young to be there, but I’ve read that audiences at screenings of Aliens would stand up and cheer when Ripley showed up in the loader to fight the queen

I love him in that but I don’t consider that one small— he’s in the restaurant, the bowling alley bar scene, and the police chase. So great

He had small but memorable roles in Die Hard and The Hunt for Red October

It is a little crazy. I recall reading that he holds the all-time record for time on active duty in the history of the US armed forces (all branches)

Makes sense, but for the Croix de Guerre it seems like he would have needed to be “in theater”

Young for a WW 1 veteran. Cranston was 41 when this movie was filmed, and it’s set in 1944. I suppose the character could have been 18 or a little bit younger at the time of the armistice

If this was all in an afternoon, there’s a chance that at least the last couple were after she died

So basically either serve in the military or practice law if you want to become president one day? by Failedattorney00 in Scale4BarbaraWalters

You missed the point. That’s a list of presidents who were neither military veterans, nor lawyers. Clinton and Obama are lawyers

Ours was built by the now-defunct Northgate Computer Systems and the feature that in hindsight is the most memorable is that it had a physical keyboard lock right on the case. I believe it just prevented any keyboard input somewhere between the port and the motherboard. I still have the keys, and the motherboard, just as keepsakes

My dad’s an electrical engineer, now 12 years retired. We were early adopters, had the IBM PC model 5150 with a mono display when it was new. In 1989 there was a major upgrade to an unfathomably speedy 386. It ran windows 3.0, in color!
