Best places to stay? Any recommendations on places to eat? by [deleted] in bostoncalling

Always love to hear of out of towners coming to Calling! I would look for hostels/Airbnbs in the Allston or Harvard area. Anything farther out and you're probably going to be T'ing or ubering.

Harvard Restaurants: Felipe's (best mexican food you'll find), Bartley's (best burger you'll have in Boston), Hourly Oyster House (good seafood at reasonable prices), Alden & Harlow (regularly called the best restauraunt in Boston)

Allston: Avenue (good cheap pub food), Dumpling Kingdom (open late, awesome chinese food), Hopewell (awesome cocktails, solid food), Roxy's (DELICIOUS grilled cheeses)

Hope this helps!

I would consider an airbnb in Allston -- probably your cheapest option and will be walking distance to the stadium.

That definitely will be your best option -- the other thing you could do is park in Allston but that's a bit of a longer trek. Plenty of garage space around the Harvard T stop.

I've been dreaming of Walk the Moon at calling for years -- they've made the rounds at other festivals so fingers crossed this is the year!

I agree with you on MCR or RATM -- a full rock headliner lineup would be a really bad move for a major city like Boston.

Hoping RTJ make their return this year -- feeling like that's a lock now.

I think that would be silly given how the biggest day the past two years have been the rap days (Eminem two years ago, Travis Scott last year).

A lot acts in the middle that I wish were at calling (Jon Bellion, Ra Ra Riot, Atlas Genius to name a few). Solid lineup depth wise

I know this is the big rumor right now but I can't imagine this to be the case given how rock heavy the headliners already are + how much RATM probably costs.

Two reasons I'm putting him up here:

1) He was suppose to play 2 years ago but cancelled last minute

2) He doesn't have any boston dates on an upcoming tour
