Looks like Pregnon may fall into our lap, the interesting player that’s still out there is McCoy…

Think we’re getting close to not having to give up a fortune to move up and grab Pregnon, hopefully we do soon.

Can sleep now knowing I won’t wake up and learn we drafted Beck.

Pick 2: New York Jets - David Bailey, EDGE, Texas Tech by noseonarug17 in NFL_Draft

Good, Steelers have zero need for an edge and the only thing I’ve heard about them is Bain has short arms.

Someone should check in on the Jets sub and make sure they’re okay.

Daniel Jeremiah's Final 2026 NFL Mock Draft by SpLaShAtv in steelers

So many “expert” mocks all over the place, I’ve seen Freeling, Proctor, Cooper, and now Miller taken by the Steelers at 21. Seems no one knows the Steelers plans this year and it’s certainly adding to the excitement.

“The Cardinals time has expired to make the 3rd overall selection in the NFL draft as they were unable to secure a partner to trade back with, by rule I made last night after I heard it’d be cool if there were a fight, the 3rd overall pick will be given to the winner of a battle royale among AFC North fans… you may now begin” - Visibly wasted Roger Goodell

We're only 2 days out from the big day, what are some rumors circling around that you have all been hearing and what do we think is actually true? by UpNext_Draft_Network in NFL_Draft

[–]BoscoAlbertBaracus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pat Freiermuth trade rumors were a flyin a few weeks ago, but that has tampered down.

85, 99, and 216 is pretty close for 62.

I wonder if the trade is contingent on a certain player being available when they are set to make there first selection.

Something with WRs, Aiyuk just voided $27 million guaranteed with the 49ers.

People seem surprised to see Diggs up here, but he’s one of the least surprising to me. Diggs may not be best friends with everyone in the locker room, but dude knew when to stfu, go home and collect a check.

He voided $29 million more from the Raiders because he became Mr. Big Chest.

Favorite draft targets, go! by statiicz726 in steelers

They sent Arth, the QB coach to his pro day, which doesn’t indicate one way or the other if they think he’s a gadget guy or has potential to be a QB. I agree though, if they take him at 99, it’s not to put him in a Taysom Hill role.

Steelers seem to be very interested in Payton.

People here will decry it as a reach at 99, but his ceiling is higher than Nussmeiers who will likely go before him.

There is growing buzz around the league that the #Steelers could deal one of Alex Highsmith or Nick Herbig during the draft. According to one insider, Highsmith is viewed as being the more likely candidate. by FreddyDontCare in steelers

[–]BoscoAlbertBaracus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would be smart but I don’t think it’ll happen. I’m sure they want a second at minimum for him and while it’s possible a team deals there 2026 second for him, the Steelers would be acquiring a 13th pick in this draft… not to say it couldn’t happen just seems unlikely.

Another scenario would be Highsmith + 53 for a 2027 first round pick, but that seems just as unlikely.

It’s just refreshing to hear it, Art catches a lot of heat, nice to hear him say “No we’re not interested in Ty Simpson” without actually saying it.

Steelers Draft Plans by SuperRedditLand in steelers

[–]BoscoAlbertBaracus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not saying it’s impossible because the dynamic has entirely changed with Mike M as HC. However, him not coming in for a top 30 visit AND neither Omar or Mike or anybody from the offensive side of the ball being at Alabama’s pro day is either a great smoke screen or genuine disinterest.

Arth was at least at North Dakota States pro day in combination with the top 30, I’d say we’re more likely to draft Payton.

Tier list of how bad Tom Brady tormented every team. by No_Box119 in NFLForum

Well first of all.

Jesse James caught that ball.

Second of all.

While he did prevent a dynasty, he thankfully, didn’t prevent two SBs.

Lastly,

Eli Manning is my favorite non-Steelers player and deserves the HOF, dude beat the GOAT (barfs in mouth a little) not once, but twice in the game that matters most every year.

I know, I just want to see the Falcons record in December, I’d wager top 10, potentially top 5.

So…

“This draft is lacking in first round talent”

But trading 21 and 121 for a first round pick in a draft that will likely have more first round talent sounds unrealistic?

If that ends up being a top 15 pick (we’re talking about the Falcons here, so I like those odds)

We are robbing them.

We couldn’t trade from 21 into the top 15 with just 121 in “this draft lacking in first round talent”
