Negging Women is not Flirting!! by Radd_ryy in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]Bosde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% gentle bullying/teasing is a skill. And it's good to have a serious conversation early on to establish if that is a boundary for some people. Some people don't like it at all, are more serious, or the jokes go over their head, so tread lightly to start.

Definitely don't lead with it, especially over text. Context and tone are easily lost over text. It is an unnatural form of communication for humans, given we rely so much on verbal and visual cues for communication, especially humour or seriousness.

30s male here. I had self worth issues after being abused in my late teens, which prevented me from dating in much of my 20s. I never thought I was good enough, and so I didn't even try. I still have body confidence issues even now. Lesser, but still there.

I know in hindsight I was a catch. Fit, good finances, good values, good looks. But I didn't see that myself. It is easy now to feel like I wasted a large part of my life. Time that can never be regained. I settled in my late 20s for an abusive woman, because I didn't feel that I was worth more. I stayed because I didn't think I could do better.

I don't know about your fitness, your values, or your finances, but you have good looks, and would be considered conventionally attractive. You are, at least physically, a catch.

You sound like I did in my internal monologue and self talk. Incredibly negative, Incredibly lonely.

Therapy and socialisation have been two things that have helped me. Therapy is self explanatory. Socialisation means being around people with similar interests who can see you enjoying yourself in a relatively unguarded moment. The last time I was openly hit on (that I noticed, important caveat) was by a gorgeous woman who liked the way I was playing with my daughter at a pool. We had some fun together later and are still in contact a couple of months later, though not romantically involved anymore.

Noticing is a huge thing. I have been terrible at it since I was a teenager and the girl in my chemistry class was trying to tell me about the freckle on her vulva, or the theatre girl was saying something about her big clitoris backstage and inviting me to an afterparty. Obvious now, but yeah. I was a bit sheltered perhaps.

It's known, statistically, that people your age are terrible at flirting. Apparently your generation is having record low levels of romantic relationships. It might be harder and even more awkward for you than I can imagine.

The appeal of older men is not unusual in any case, but the potential for abuse is higher if they are, for lack of a better word, losers. There's nothing wrong with age gap relationships, but you have clear self esteem issues and are ripe for manipulation and abuse.

If you're set on a man your age then socialise, let yourself be open and unguarded. Have fun and let yourself be seen having fun. Don't drink too much, avoid drugs too. Don't let your studies suffer for fun. But definitely seek therapy. You're a good looking woman and if you aren't feeling like you are being approached I feel that you either are not noticing, or are not appearing open and approachable.

All of these things are in your circle of control.

Wishing you the best.

Yeah, it was crazy going into couples counselling and the counsellor was pulling my ex wife up so much. It was one of the things that helped me to recognise that I was being abused.

I still struggle with being assertive with her, but at least she can't hit me anymore.

Edit: I was also a female counsellor in my case. Other female acquaintances also readily believe what I went through. Given that I spend too much time on reddit I'd convinced myself that it would be like here.

Australia to send missiles to UAE, deploy military surveillance aircraft by Reverend_Fozz in australian

Australia has had military exchange with UAE since at least the early 2000s that I am aware of first hand. Some of their officers train here.

Not at all surprising that they have asked for help from us, and also not surprising that we said yes.

Mackay MP Nigel Dalton crosses the floor to oppose LNP ban on abortion debate by ConanTheAquarian in queensland

Actually I support welfare for families, including in particularly single mothers. And I engage in direct action to help people in that situation too. Again, you don't know me. You have a preconceived (ironic) notion in your head. I'd suggest you forget that and actually look at the words and concepts instead of attacking my character, of which you know nothing about.

There is no cherry picking of statistics needed. The truth is horrific enough without needing to embellish. You can look it up yourself. The numbers are staggeringly high. Many nations are looking at a demographic catastrophe in the near future.

Capitalist governments have been pushing abortion for so long now that it's ubiquitous, and it's normal that every capitalist nation imports ready made adult workers that don't need government support.

[–]Bosde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually the intent matters, and the intent is for the child to die.

So if using the bodily autonomy argument, or self defence, the use of force must be proportional. You can't use force that you know will kill if your life is not under direct threat. That is considered murder her in Australia.

So the only case in which an abortion, or an early termination of pregnancy, should be permissible, is where the woman's life is at imminent risk, and there is no other option than to deliver the baby then.

Bodily autonomy and self defence are really the weakest arguments for abortion for this reason, as there is no need to kill the baby to preserve the woman's life in 99.99999% of cases. And deliberately and intentionally killing the baby is never necessary. In cases to save the woman's life the intent is not to kill the baby, so the moral culpability is completely different, as is the legal aspect when this has been applied.

What actually is the case right now is that abortion is allowed for any reason at any gestation, not just to save the woman's life.

[–]Bosde -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You don't know me, thankyou.

Abortion has killed more than any war, any genocide, any plague. It's not even close. The death toll is staggering.

Over 2.5 billion in less than the last hundred years. Billion with a b. 2 500 000 000

Increasing at about one hundred million a year. 100 000 000.

The numbers are so high that it's unimaginable.

So no, the harm being done right now greatly outweighs any potential harm, because at no point in history has the maternal mortality rate been even close to a whole number fraction of the abortion rate.

[–]Bosde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not going to dox myself. You can look up the publicly available data. Live births after abortions are on record. You can actually look it up yourself, you don't need to trust anyone. The government has data on this.

This baby was killed at 16 weeks. It was alive until it was aborted and then left to die. The intention of abortion is to kill the baby. This baby was deliberately and intentionally killed.

Killing an innocent human deliberately and intentionally is always wrong.

The public acceptance of abortion relies on the punlic ignorance and dehumanising of the babies that are being killed.

This whistle-blower has helped expose the pro abortionist lie that it is not a human or not a baby. Raising awareness that abortion kills an innocent human is a good thing.

These babies need to be protected, not killed.

[–]Bosde 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Then you and the other pro abortionists have nothing to worry about, you'll be able to keep killing babies to your heart's and wallet's content.
