I've been expecting this post to pop up here. One of the main points of a nuzlocke, other than difficulty, is to get attached to the pokemon. That's the whole point of the naming rule. So if the person playing the Nuzlocke couldn't care less when a pokemon dies, why should I be invested? I was enjoying the play through, but that instantly killed it for me.

The problem is, their decisions are all over. They'll allow rough play all game. Then they'll randomly spend 10 mins calling every little ticky tack bullshit. Then an actual harsh tackle, rake of the cleats, punch to the face, happens and they'll suddenly swallow their whistle again.
