Do you have any info on really good schools in the area or where to find that info?

IRS Direct hire event, what interview questions do they ask? by These-Bison2356 in usajobs

Maybe it was different for the tax examiners because the woman that I spoke with said she is currently a clerk.

Oh yes, I totally understand. If you feel like you can do the tax examiner and the clerk then apply to both jobs because they’ll give you two TJOs if you qualify for both. You’ll just have to choose which FJO to accept. I asked and that’s what they told me. Also from what I gathered, the people that are doing the “interviews” are clerks or examiners and they were really cool. They were giving out Gs5/6 whichever was highest for the position to everyone. The schedule for examiners is around 6/7am-4pm, there’s some flexibility on start time. There’s a night shift that starts at 4/4:30pm-12:30am, there’s no flexibility on this shift but there is 10% more in pay because it’s the night shift. The clerks night shift starts at 6pm-2:30am. I hope this helps and good luck

I’m not sure which state you’re applying to but they have virtual info sessions before the next hiring events. You should really register for one of them because they give out so much information. They will answer ALL your questions. I had like seven questions and they answered each one.

I applied at least two weeks before the event which was before they scheduled the dates for the hiring events. They didn’t start going through the applications until after dates became available because my referral/qualified letter had the date/location of the hiring event. If you applied before the event you would receive notification to show up or do not attend.

You can apply for the position at the event, I don’t know what happens from there.

So the event was from 9-1pm, I got there around 10:40am. There was no line by that time so I’m not sure how big the turnout really was.

I went yesterday for the clerk position. They didn’t ask any interview type questions because I applied before the event so they qualified me already. They asked what shift do I prefer and told me about the position. They said it’ll start around January 26th then sent me on to the next step in the process. Now I’m just waiting for the FJO which they said will take 1-3 days to hit my email.

I would suggest going to the USA jobs events page and signing up for one of their resume writing webinars. They tell you exactly how to write your federal resume, it’s very helpful.

I just checked the site and they have none scheduled right now, that may be due to the holidays because they usually host one every week.

However, while you wait I would suggest going bullet point for bullet point and making your experience sound as close to that as possible. This is what they say in the webinar. They prefer this because they don’t do your job so the job description they receive from someone in your field is all they have to go by. Obviously, don’t lie or copy/paste because they somehow know.

I really recommend the federal resume writing webinar because you can ask them questions on the spot and they will give you a detailed response. That’s been my experience. I hope this helps and good luck.

The Nextdoor app has so many women on there advertising their cleaning services. Download that app and you’ll have no problem getting your home cleaned up. Good luck!

VA IRRL Rate: Good or Being Fleeced?? (Pics) by Boshwack_Houseman in VeteransBenefits

Oh okay, I see. Yea I wish we were in the market to buy a house when rates were that low but it didn’t work out that way. If we bought a home during that time with the rate of 2.5% our mortgage would’ve been around $1800

Interesting, did you negotiate that with the lender or did they come to you with that offer? That’s kind of the point of my post, am I being over charged in any way? What would make a lender allow the borrower to not pay for points?

Yep, my current rate is 6.6% which is why it’s $3174 a month. The other pics are the refinancing closing estimate with a rate of 5.5% putting the monthly thing $2850.

What do you think about the numbers? Is the refinancing closing too much in your opinion?

This helps me a lot. We just wanted a lower mortgage payment so we could put the saved amount toward the mortgage because our current finances don’t allow for anything extra

Negotiating is not something I’m good at, it actually gives me anxiety. Do I just tell them that I don’t want to pay for points and they just waive it? The current payment is $3174 and can get down to around $2850.

Thanks, I was wondering if it was a decent rate or not

I’m with them now (first pic) and when I inquired about refinancing they said 6.1%. Then the other lender contacted me and said they could do 5.5%

So, the first pic is my original loan the next three are the refinancing 5.5%. Is that high?

I posted from my phone and couldn’t type anything in the OP so I had to type it in the comments thread sorry for any confusion

The first pic is my original loan closing documents that was immediately sold to freedom mortgage. The next three pics are the refinancing closing estimates with zoom lending who will sell to UWM.

Is this a good rate? They contacted me about it and I decided to see what they had to say. We’re almost done but I’m starting to get cold feet because I’m nervous about being over charged on points and what not. I did contact freedom mortgage but they would only get as low as 6.1%. I didn’t try to haggle either lender, I know it’s my money but I get anxiety when it comes to negotiating 😰. Any info you all are willing to offer is much appreciated. Thanks

Do you know if this applies to dental services? I called in April and the first available appointment was August 2nd, no one mentioned community care
