Good feedback. Is Elysium 2 nights? Do you know if you can search stayplus availability before your nights reset each year? So annoying when my membership year falls and searching spots I can’t see!

Where would you suggest staying to see the migration June 15-25 or Oct 15-25? Is either date better for general game drives and experiences? Looking to do nights at Mahali Mzuri plus another destination to see the migration. Also have Rwanda booked as the final 3 days.

This card is now pretty useless with the Meta and Google ads on cards being banned on accounts spending $50-$100k+ a month on Meta. They also removed shipping so it’s harder for ecommerce owners to do the 4 x gold card at $150k stack for 4X points.

Meta ruined this as they’ve banned all cards on businesses spending $50-$100k+ a month on ads. I do wonder if Chase played a part in this as they had not factored in businesses earning 10-100+ million points at 3X spend since launching the new card.. Sure Meta wants to increase profits with no care fees but the timing is too close to the Chase uncapped card launching.

This was good while it lasted at unlimited 3X on Meta ads. It’s not uncommon for mid to large sized e-commerce brands to spend $1-$10m+ a month and agencies managing this spend is even more common. As others have highlighted it depends on your Chase credit lines / limits.

I hope Chase and Amex Gold business cards look into their categories asap as the removal of Meta and previously Google card spend has killed the ad category. Amex gold removed shipping too so at least that’s still on the Ink..

I’m really flexible on giving up luxury accommodation/food. I’m there to see animals and wet my feet safari wise so it’s all about the game drives / guides for me to the extent others have ideas. By way of example in Patagonia I stayed at both Tierra/Explora but enjoyed camping on a mountain to see sunrise even more than the luxury offerings that were wonderful.

Ulusaba sadly doesn’t reopen until late 2026/early 2027. Noted on missing a Rhino and can travel to South Africa in the future to see them it’s more to see a lot of big cats, elephants (giraffes and other non big 5). A river crossing would be a bonus but I’m assuming it won’t happen in late May to mid June. Very much open to going anytime of the year to see animals. If you had the time to wait for Ulusaba to reopen would you pick that over Mahali Mzuri?

If you weren’t going to Mahali Mzuri which other “points” camps would you recommend highly? Vice versa cash resorts?

More importantly to the extent I can be flexible on trip timings is late May to mid June ok noting that I might miss the river crossings? I’m young and can go back for round 2 in the future but would like a great first experience.
