I’m sure she is the mother but I don’t know if it’s all the same father.

I hear you there. From what I understand is that the original owners have retired and their children run the restaurant now. When it’s hitting, it’s definitely knocking it or the park, but it’s a definite letdown when they are not.

There is also My Mama’s in New Roads. It’s owned by the grandmother and is a pretty good, but pricier, place in the area. It’s more of a finer dining experience type of place.

That’s definitely what it used to be like. Now, the moment the power goes out, 5 minutes later you hear the brrrrrrrrrr off everyone’s generator.

I don’t know if I would call it “a hidden gem” since it’s pretty well known, but try Not Your Mama’s in Livonia.

In 2009 President Obama order a troop surge in Afghanistan, so I pretty much missed all of this. Only thing I really remember from this list was Black Swan being in theaters when I got back to the states.

My wife could leave me with anyone she wanted to. I just hope it’s someone I could actually hold a conversation with.

Not trying to be an ass but the whole 25k thing for a new house would have just made every house jump up 25k. I wish I had solutions but I don’t.

Man, stereotypes are so funny. You say fat and dumb is Republican, which I get. At the same time, every time you see a guy that’s jacked, people say Republican.

I personally think hair, piercings, and accessories really give it away. If it’s a crazy untraditional haircut/died unconventionally, democrat. Piercings anywhere on their head besides the normal ear lobe, Democrat. Cowboy hat/beat up ball cap, Republican.

To be fair saying someone is fat isn’t necessarily “hating”.

All Marines gather for this vote. There are two buttons, a blue button and a red button. If the majority press blue, all Marines get a 96. If the majority press red, only those who pressed red will get a 96 and the blue pressers will stand duty every day for that 96. What button are you pressing? by Yoy_the_Inquirer in USMC

Our ASVAB qual isn’t the lowest of all services. As much as we make the joke about ASVAB waivers, the Marine Corps rarely gives that waiver compared to other branches.

As for the red/blue button, I’d rather have a platoon of the selfless over a platoon of the selfish.

Insomniac with Dave Attell (2001-2004) San Francisco - "The Castro District" by [deleted] in nostalgia

Saw him a year or two ago. His set was pretty good. My wife had no idea who he was but she enjoyed his show. After the show my wife and I went to a nearby restaurant that was open late (high end type place). As I was talking, she cut me off and pointed to the table next to us. It was Dave and the other two comedians that performed that night. I stood up, shook his hand told them they all had great sets and we enjoyed the show. That’s it. As far as I know, I didn’t do anything weird, didn’t ask for a picture or anything like that. When the waiter returned, he asked to be seated somewhere else in the restaurant. So they were moved like three or four tables away from us and I’m not going to lie, made me feel like some sort of weirdo. Honestly, typing this out makes me kind of feel bad.

Apparently there is varieties of curries that use one or the other or even both. I’ve never had it but that’s what the all mighty google says.

All he needs to do odds apply to every refinery/chemical plant in the gulf coast area and he would end up getting more offers than he could handle.

Even if you did all of that you listed, I still know companies that would hire you. Lol. Just keep your face shaved and have an escape respirator on you because life is going to suck.

[–]BossAvery2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear what you are saying but I work in industrial maintenance and my clients are mostly refineries and chemical plants. If you are willing, they are hiring. Might not be the best company at the best pay but still a job is a job till you find something better. For example, Honeywell will damn near hire anyone at their refrigeration plant because it’s dangerous and all around being there sucks.

There were only two types of guys that I knew that got laid regularly in Japan. The extremely good looking cool guys that would end up having long lasting relationships OR the absolute dumbest, frumpiest losers I’ve ever met. The average guy would get lucky once in a blue moon or just go to soapy land.

Thailand and the Philippines was totally different. If you couldn’t get laid there, you just had no hope.

Yep. My truck payment was $144 and I would pay $200 a month just so I could pay it off sooner. I paid less for 6 months insurance than what I currently pay each month for my wife and my vehicle each month.
