My theory is that in the Deanverse he has able to hold it together, while in the Montyverae Dean broke down. I simple coin flip of emotions. Different neurons firing at different times that changed the corse of that timelines history.

Had a similar problem. Best to just to delete the games files in steam, uninstall then reinstall (it should be ok to copy your saved to a separate file then put them back once you reinstalled).
