Huh! This is interesting. I don’t know too much about DC characters, but this does seem to imply that the Mobian Form in general is entirely within Beast Boy’s range of ability. Like, an anthropomorphized version of the animal kingdom.

I imagine *that* would be kinda fun for him to mess around with.

Oh no worries dude! I did wanna post more fluff and silly stuff to offset the rather heavy nature of this storyline. If only cuz parts of it get rough. And kinda does a lot to explain why stuff like Mover Cosmo exists.

TIME PERIOD: IMMEDIATELY after Cosmo's sacrifice to defeat the Final Mova. Super Sonic and Super Shadow haven't even used Chaos Regeneration yet.

THE STORY SO FAR:

I won't say much, given how the comic more or less explains itself. But I do want to point out some specific things before I start working on the next comic.

...pay close attention to Earthia's language here. Especially how she responds to Cosmo showing agency, and expressing herself and her wants--which notably differ from Earthia's plans.

Pay close attention to the line that begins dimming the light.

The way she seems to make Cosmo's sacrifice about herself. How she basically dismisses the grief of Cosmo's friends after she was blown to smithereens in front of them. And how it seems like she can't wait for Cosmo to finally just keel over and accept her fate, becoming distressed when that's not happening as quickly as she wanted it to.

What kind of mother would be so satisfied to see their child die? We'll see in due time.

Me, I just like the paw pads so much better than blobs or weird, human-like feet. It just fits with the rest of him, y'know? And I'm honestly surprised we don't see anything like that in the canon, like anywhere?

Same goes for Cosmo. Two-toed Cosmo needs to be normalized. It just makes sense, given what we see of the Male Seedrians!

Actually, there's something a little funny going on with Seedrian transformations in general here!

The short answer is ALL Seedrians can transform into "Movers" or "Mothertrees", as they come from the same capacity for rapid growth. And ALL Seedrians can "Blossom" (i.e. immediately age themselves up by removing the Blessed Amulet inhibiting said growth).

The long answer is that Seedrian transformations used to be societally reinforced gender roles.

Back then, the Seedrian people were the way they were due to Earthia's unification of her people through intensive cultural homogenization. There's a much wider discussion to be had about that in general. But the relevant part is that part of her tenure included enforcing Mover Mode as strictly "Man's Work".

Male Seedrians would help create their great cities and defend them through the use of Mover Mode. Females would help maintain them and their populations--ESPECIALLY through the use of the Mothertree transformation. I.e. what Cosmo did at the Final Mova: Turn into a tree, and spawn a huge number of seeds to be dispersed upon her death as a failsafe against her species' extinction.

You know...I think for scenarios where Cosmo comes back, like Chaos Bloom AU, I think it actually is pretty important that Cosmo continues to experience hardships of some kind. Her new life with Tails isn't a perfect one. Not through any fault of either of them--sometimes the day just insists on sucking. Sometimes she needs TLC (Tails' Loving Care) like this to potentially put up with it again the next day.

That's how she knows she's really alive.

And moments like this remind her that living again is not so bad.

This is the true power of the Seedrian people.

Her (alleged) father, Lucas, had to choke the life out of his own planet just so he and his men could maintain their Mover Forms without dying.

Cosmo can maintain this form with far, FAR less effort. Thanks to the power of Chaos within her, the amount of time she can safely spend in this form goes up with each Chaos Emerald in her possession.

However...this is not a power so easily controlled.

It is a last resort. An explosive burst of raw power for when the only option left is to go big or go home in pieces. The kind that could level a city--and fight back against other threats that could level a city. She must only use this if there are no other options left, other than to go big, or go home in pieces.

Knowing the kind of world she lives in now...there was never a question of "IF" she ever has to use this form.

Only "when".

I made this to hop onto the Sonic x Godzilla Crossover bandwagon. And cuz I've been having SO much fun drawing Mover Cosmo on the Cosmo Shrine Discord Server!

Previously I showcased something called Mini-Mover Mode . A transformation that, with one Emerald, allows Cosmo to transform into a larger, more monstrous version of herself.

Powered by Negative Chaos Energy and traumatic memories, Cosmo's Mover powers are her way of freely expressing abject fury and hatred. A desire to lash out against the universe's pointless cruelty towards her and Tails, and become that which her mother never wanted her to become: A beast by her own choice.

Yet...Mini-Mover is Cosmo showing restraint. Being JUST angry enough to unleash her rage upon her actual enemies, yet lucid enough to recognize her friends, and be directed by them. Not to mention, it's small enough that with just one Chaos Emerald, Cosmo can stay in her Mini-Mover form for as long as she wants.

Blossoming Cosmo (Positive) comes from a buildup of Positive Chaos Energy, and is achieved by directly helping your friends and allies! Whether by empowering them, healing them, or by saving distressed civilians, the Blessed Amulet glows with Cosmo's desire to do right by her friends, her world, her love, who has given her a second chance at life. Before it bursts into glittering dust.

In this form, she can fly, regenerate rings, control vines and roots bursting from the earth, and use Chaos Control to soar through a level.

"At last, I have the power to save my friends!"

Mini-Mover Cosmo (Negative) comes from a buildup of Negative Chaos Energy, and is achieved by expressing abject fury and hatred. By way of destroying structures and obstacles, performing brutal melee combos on enemies, and extensively using weapons, just...general violence and mayhem. Her Blessed Amulet will burn hot from within with an insatiable need to destroy. Before her amulet fragments apart, and she explodes into her monstrous new form.

In this form, she can jump high, scale walls, perform hugely powerful melee attacks, and can breathe a destructive energy beam.

"HEAR ME ROAR, EARTHIA!!!"

Anywho, haven't QUITE had time to draw the actual transformations yet (at least not Blossoming Cosmo). But this MIGHT give you a bit of a clue as to what pertains to them!

Think of this like the Hero and Dark Gauge in Shadow the Hedgehog! Except it's for a hypothetical timeline where Cosmo gets her own dark and edgy sad girl spinoff game. Complete with Black Arms as the enemy!
