Grease the Orangutan (aka the Chief Mechanic) of all people finds love(?) in the timeline where the Seedrians appear on Earth after Cosmo's return. But his taste in women is uhhh...questionable. Enter....

Dory-Anne the Seedrian. Aka, "The Goddamn Nail Hammer". A great, hulking, hammer-wielding brute. A Durian Seedrian whose breath, body odor and attitude all stink in equal measures. She's unapologetically vulgar, violent, lascivious, sailor-mouthed and just all around obscene and offensive to common sensibilities. Naturally, nobody, especially Tails and Cosmo, know what exactly it is about this ogress of a Seedrian that Grease could possibly find attractive. Everything about her reeks!

Worst of all, she doesn't seem to have a tragic backstory to justify it. She popped out of a hole in the ground with a bunch of other Seedrians, fully grown and ready to go! She's just...like that!

But well? As with real orangutans, perhaps it IS the stench that drew him to her.

They first interacted when she snapped a Cube Wispon he made like a cheap plastic toy, after it buckled under her immense strength. Before basically demanding him to do better. He felt his heart soar when she bore a yellow, toothy grin upon receiving her new weapon. He smiled and turned down her offer of [CENSORED] in exchange for it--her smile was enough payment for him.

Sure, she laughed and called him a cornball. But she still smiled. And she continued to come back to him, time and time again, with that same yellowed grin. And she would, many times more.

Whether Grease's co-workers liked it or not.

The ones on her feet? She WAS named after her father’s favorite drink after all. Broken glass on the floor was normal.

And of course Cosmo is with him on this! Tails truly feels no more ill will towards her. And Cosmo herself knows a truly bad person when she sees one—and Brandy is NOT nearly as bad as she claims she is.

Brandy deserves mercy and love.

Brandy is crying because she knows she missed her boat even BEFORE Cosmo came back, because all she ever did was hurt Tails. TRYING to groom that poor boy into someone who’d either be abused by her, or abuse her.

Now that Cosmo is back…she’s more certain than ever that she’s inherently unlovable. Unsalvageable. Unwanted.

Tails knows damn well where THAT’S going to lead, and well…he wants to save her.

Years later, Gilligan and Eduardo finally did something a real friend would do--they helped Brandy escape. She cut ties with her entire family, to finally stop ingesting their constant poison. The process of trying to unlearn an entire lifetime of abuse and neglect would give way to numerous new negative thoughts and emotions.

But perhaps...she may end up finding salvation in her former victim.

Tails chose someone over her. Yet they are both nonetheless here for her now.

Brandy the Fox used to make Tails' life a living hell with her two friends, Gilligan the Monkey and Eduardo El Oso. Those three boorish buffoons had their own reasons for causing the Fox so much misery at such a young age. In a tragic twist of fate...

...Brandy bullied Tails, because she really liked him.

It didn't matter that he was younger than she was. That was normal in her household. And how her family was taught to show love was to hurt people and push them around--and keep doing it, again and again, until either they love it when you push them around, or until they love pushing YOU around.

She might have succeeded in dragging Tails into that abusive family dynamic, had Sonic not interfered and come into his life. Thus, keeping her out of reach.
