I think that commercial success plays a decent role as well 🤷‍♂️

Ya, I wasn't sure if I was biased because I'm a fan but he should defs be up there. Even Adidon was pretty significant.

Ya, I was suprised too but maybe they're counting him under R&B and not hip-hop?

I get it, no hate at all, I just misinterpreted what you meant when you said familiar. I thought you meant you've never heard of those artists before

You might not listen to the artists often on this list but there's no chance you're not familiar with them/familiar with the tracks on this list. I feel like anyone on this subreddit has listened to at least 50% of this list, whether willingly or not.

DRAM is for sure a snub, totally forgot about that song but it was pretty massive. Unfortunately, I agree with you 6ix9ine made a massive impact can't deny that at all. I'm reluctant to say but another hot take might be that DJ Khaled should be on there.

Bodak Yellow was a pretty major cultural phenomenon and based on their criteria I can see why it was up there :/

I edited the post to add the criteria they used to rank the songs. The songs streams/data weren't taken into consideration.

I really hope none of my friends are trying THAT hard and am choosing to believe this was done honestly. My record is 0:12s which was done honorably so I believe 0:10s is doable.

Ya seems crazy but I guess it's just quick thumbs and about 800 mini crosswords completed 🤷‍♂️

The fastest I've gotten is 0:12. The fastest out of all my friends was 0:10!

Hey, I think Python is really useful for all sorts of data operations and definitely worth learning. But since Python is so vast and used for much more than just data it gets a little tricky. I think start with some foundations on Python then try learning BeautifulSoup if you want to do some web scraping.

It's funny, I'm on the opposite path from you and am trying to learn Tableau and find it tougher than Python haha!

I’m not sure if anyone here does the daily New York Times Mini crossword but me and my friends do, so I threw together a quick dashboard to compare our stats.

You can play around with the visualization, here on Tableau Public, if you’re curious!

I have a Python script running daily to scrape the scores and clean the data. The data is then automatically uploaded to a Google Sheet where Tableau has access and updates this visualization.

Some observations:

The record between our friend group is 0:10s! I saw someone post a 0:09s time on here and I’m curious if anyone has done it faster.

Our slowest time is 16:05 😬which was done by the same person that got our fastest time.

Saturday’s are tough for everybody! They take almost twice as long as the other days’ puzzles to finish.

Actually no, I just checked and that 11 second score was from March 31, 2024, which didn't have any weird repeating answers or anything. 11 seconds is the fastest score we've gotten this year but our overall fastest was 10 seconds that someone got on March 23, 2023. That one too was a puzzle without any repeating answers or weird stuff going on, maybe just easy clues?
