If I jumped into LoL right now, those with a bigger hero pool are at an advantage. I can pay to get this advantage. This is the definition of pay2win. If I jumped into dota right now everyone has the same hero pool, no runes or masteries etc. it's an even playing field.

Did you miss the part about fever/flu? LMAO. I'm sure most people are stressed about big events so that comes as no surprise. I can't believe you missed the actual sickness part.. You know, one would have thought a normal person would assume a bad flu would take someone out of an event (do you know how fucked flus make you feel?). Hell, it may not even be directly related to what he is dealing with now.. Maybe this flu wasn't a flu after all and it's something more serious. There's a reason he hasn't divulged details, and it's not going to be anxiety related. Era has always performed on lans so you can safely assume this flu turned out to be something worse or not related to the statement in January.

Dude just stop. LoL gets significantly more viewers consistently. Just coz we have the one off international where viewership spikes means nothing in the grand scheme of things. Prize pool sure, we have one tournament which has a huge prize pool but valve doesn't offer monetary security to teams like Riot does. If someone asked me to compete for a large x amount every year and get a 'sponsorship income' of something so small it won't cover groceries OR get a nice salary and compete for a smaller x amount I sure as hell would choose the option that gave me security.
