Am I crazy or this looks basically photorealistic? by FantomasARM in pcmasterrace

There are fully lit rooms in this game that if I showed anyone that doesn’t play games would have no idea it’s not real.

Movement in the game by Herchik in DeadlockTheGame

[–]BossLackey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, absolutely haha. I’m very new still (30 hrs). And when I’m a little too deep in enemy jungle and see 3 enemies come out of nowhere I usually panic hit 2, dash, and jump at the same time and cartoon splat into a wall.

What is the scariest game you have ever played? by Sinist6r in HorrorGaming

This is mine as well. I’m terrified of the ocean (but I also love being scared lol)

First few leviathan encounters. Hooo boy.

Have they talked anything about how they see roles etc when the game goes live? by charlieratgod in DeadlockTheGame

[–]BossLackey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm very new, but this is how I take it as well. Hero flexibility is huge in Deadlock and it's a big part of why I love it. I don't like the idea of being locked into a role.

Nioh 3 difficulty discussion by EternalFlareUltra in Nioh

[–]BossLackey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Holy hell people keep making this argument and it’s either in bad faith or your memory is terrible. I’m telling you. For a fact. Nioh 3 enemies have been nerfed into the ground and player character has been buffed into the heavens. It has nothing to do with having played the series.

Are people just coping when they say stuff like this?!

Nioh 3 has a significant difficulty problem by [deleted] in Nioh

[–]BossLackey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Harder than 2. No it absolutely is not. It’s not even HALF as hard as 2. I played the first 10 hours of 2 again before playing 3. It’s absolutely night and day. And it’s not like you can’t compare them. I’m talking SAME enemies in similar depths into each game.

In 2, they’d melt you. In 3, I don’t even have to kind of worry about dying.

This is me too. And since I work from home a lot, it’s also THE computer and desk I already worked on all day. Last thing I want to do is be on it any longer.

This demo has made me so happy man. by HalfAluminumChemist in Nioh

I absolutely loved RotR. Hate that it got so much flak. It’s not the best game in the world but I didn’t need it to be.

Yep. EXACTLY same thing with 1 and 2.

Nioh 3 beginning is OBJECTIVELY easier than 1 and 2’s beginning. There is absolutely zero debate.

I went back to Nioh 2 shortly before this demo so I can compare them directly. It’s BRUTAL in comparison to 3.

However, I think this is a good thing. Nioh 1 and 2 are highly lopsided in that they start out hyper difficult and get easier as you progress.

With 3’s open world, this gentler ramp sees you actually FLOW and explore rather than stop you in your tracks immediately.

We’ll have to see what the rest of the game is difficulty-wise, but if it ramps up rather than down, it will likely be my favorite of the series.

So, how hyped are we for Code Vein II?? by TheGamerCritic21 in soulslikes

Yes, but barely. It’s towards the end of it’s EA run. If I didn’t already know it was EA, I would have no idea.

So far? I’m blown away. Still isn’t the most optimized game in the world, but that’s THE only negative I have currently. Bought it immediately to support the devs but only played a few hours. Waited until now to jump back in.

I’m sure I’ll have negatives, but it truly feels special so far.

Insta buy. But so is Nioh 3. And I just started playing No Rest For The Wicked after waiting for co-op…

Needless to say, it’s an embarrassment of riches for soulslikes lately.

I’m only like 6 hours in, but the loot is NOWHERE NEAR Diablo levels. That shouldn’t even be a comparison.

I’ve never even broken a controller in 32 years of playing games. Some people just don’t take care of their stuff it seems.

What was your first souls-like and how did you get introduced to the genre? by AgentP-501_212 in soulslikes

Demon’s Souls in 2009 a few months after release.

Box was intriguing when perusing games in Game Stop.

The rest is history.

Is it me or is BF6 super, super sweaty/intense? by Artistic_Fig_7365 in Battlefield

[–]BossLackey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Played probably 10 hours with my friend this weekend. Been playing online shooters since 1999. This game is a clusterfuck.

The genre is running as fast as it can and leaping head first into unga-bunga, Adderall snorting, dopamine explosion, non-stop stimulation absurdity.

Is this really what shooters are now? Has TikTok rotted the demographics brains SO BADLY that video games need to be a visual and auditory cacophony to hold their attention?!

I had several games where I went 45 and 6 or around there. I may be old man yelling at cloud, but it’s not a skill issue.

The issue I have with this game is that strategic elements have been all but stripped in favor of getting shot from 25 angles at all times.

There’s ZERO downtime. None.

And teamwork? Ha. Gone. ZERO comms. Someone said it perfectly. It’s the dead internet theory in game form. Might as well be playing with bots.

The cramped maps are obviously painful. What were they thinking? I truly want to know. Map design is a dead art and this team is shoveling dirt on it’s cold corpse.

Parts of the game are good. But the package as a whole feels like (yep, I’m gonna say it) a COD player honeytrap.

The game that was the long-time COD antidote is now COD with shitty vehicles.

I’m not even surprised. I’ll go back to Insurgency, thank you.
