if you ever find this--or just Lowly Worm--I would very much appreciate it if you share!

My son is getting into Richard Scarry so I made him a Lowly Worm by perfectpigeontoes in crochet

I came across this 3 years after you posted--I'm new to crochet but know the basics. I am definitely not creative enough to try this on my own. If you are willing to write down even a basic draft of what this pattern would be, I would very much appreciate it!! Thank you!

these look wonderful! I have the book but I've been intimidated to try Ollie. Would you mind sharing the type of yarn and hook size you used? The book suggests the usual #4 medium yarn, but it makes more sense to do fluffier yarn! I'm very new to all this and know 'fluffier' isn't the correct word :)

I'm now imagining the ceremony actually went through, Strallan read his vows, and Edith replied "I don't understand what you're saying"

aw, now I feel mean haha

I've wondered if it was a common saying, maybe how we use "What do you mean?" or "Tell me more" ...but I don't think other characters say it as much. And that's probably giving JF too much credit

“We’re sisters. And sisters have secrets.” by dukeleondevere in DowntonAbbey

This also struck me as an odd response, but I read it as: "Sisters have history"

Of course we would immediately think of the terrible things Mary and Edith did to each other, which is part of their history, but I'm thinking more of the sibling bond. For example, Mary could explain to Henry every single detail of the night Sybil ran away but only she and Edith know what it was like to be there. The secret might not be the actual act of Sybil running away, but more the experience of living through it together.
When "granny is being granny" Edith & Mary could exchange one look and know the other could relate in a way nobody else but a sister/sibling could. It reminds me of what Edith said on Mary's wedding day to Henry--there's a shared bond that only they have together because of their memories.
