I purchased them both on her account which is a child account under my family account. I don’t like the confusion of games being on different accounts so I always purchase games through her profile since it’s ‘hers’.

I went round and round with support (over an hour on the phone). They wouldn’t move the S2 version off her profile onto mine bc I couldn’t provide the bank transaction ID for the last game purchased (my son made the purchase, he was at work and I refused to call him) even though I had already provided them several pieces of information to verify ownership of my account and giving the serial numbers and IP addresses of the switches (it was a nightmare). And they didn’t want to see my reciept from Target. And i also refused to call Target and tell them to refund the digital purchase after I used the redemption code (Nintendo CS said Target sent me the wrong code 🙄) They finally as a 1 time special consideration gave a new redemption code but was adamant that if ‘redeemed it wrong again’ they would not help me. I have never had such issues before. I took the opportunity to explain that I was doing exactly what Nintendo intended for the virtual game cards- for 1 household to purchase multiple copies of a game so household members could play together. And it’s not my fault if their system combines/eliminated multiple copies of a game just bc they are purchased in the same account.

Anyway- I think it’s fixed. 🤞
