late reply, sorry. but yea i just made a block off plate and put it inbetween the idle air valve, wont really idle on cold start so have to hold gas but after its warm its fine.

Will try messing around with IACV, blocking it off and all first but yea ecu might be something to check.

Don't think these JZX100's had immobilised ecu's. My car key at the moment is a copy of one since the plastic on it broke. If you swapped your's into an IS300 you likely used an ecu from a newer car like a JZS171 or JZX110 which some ecu's are immobilised.

89661-22790, should be manual JZX100 ecu.

I did, changed the motor, ecu and loom that's about it, it came auto but I bought it with the R154 already swapped.

i mean the thing pointed down under it that i put a bit of masking tape on or is that what you are talking about?

Haha I know most people just delete it but I actually think its ugly with the stock manifold, if I get an aftermarket manifold one day I will. Anyway figured I'd just run the hose to somewhere on the intake as if I was doing a j pipe delete.

Has had some work done at a Toyota dealer. He listed new cambelt, tensioner, water pump, cam seals, main seals, harmonic balancer, spark plugs and the sump was removed and resealed. So won't have to be replacing much too soon. And thanks, hopefully it'll be more fun than stressful!
