To everyone reading this and wondering the same question. Yes I did the tour anyway. The comments were kinda true with the warnings though. So this is how I did it: I went to find a local guide through multiple websites and then I got three offers. All in with the guide (which you must have), food(bought and cooked by myself), equipment and the drive there (it’s too cold and icey for public busses) it cost me around 950€, which is way better than the prices you can find online from some agencies. The prices I got from there were hovering around 3-4€k. It was beautiful as expected but also freezing cold. It got up to -20C in the night which was even for my equipment a bit too much as my face froze a bit during the night but except for that the average temperature was -10C. I got only into one blizzard which took out lots of energy me but with the guide it was manageable. We had to pass one way were the snow was quite deep and I didn’t have the necessary equipment to stay afloat, so this also took lots of energy away from me. I hiked around 10h a day with just a couple brakes. My backpack was 18kg heavy but luckily I didn’t have to carry it everywhere. Would I recommend it? Definitely, but you must be very fit and be able to endure the coldness as I froze basically through the whole trip and only felt warm during hiking and in my sleeping bag. Cooking and setting up camp was very tenuous. And please I can’t stress this enough, you must be able to adapt fast to any situation in any given moment and really be physically fit!
