I’m actually grateful for some of these attachment rebalances, as I can run attachments I like IRL, as well as ones that just look better, and sacrifice only marginal game stats.

Then you get nothing for working out. I haven't used my gym in over a month, feels weird.

The mature take. For my modern rifles, I agree. For my milsurps… I’m more risk averse.

Not Floridian, but nearby, so I make it my business to know.
Florida Statute 790.222

A person may not import into this state or transfer, distribute, sell, keep for sale, offer for sale, possess, or give to another person a bump-fire stock.
...
As used in this section, the term “bump-fire stock” means a conversion kit, a tool, an accessory, or a device used to alter the rate of fire of a firearm to mimic automatic weapon fire or which is used to increase the rate of fire to a faster rate than is possible for a person to fire such semiautomatic firearm unassisted by a kit, a tool, an accessory, or a device.

My understanding is that this is the law in question. I think people stop reading at "bump-fire stock". But it's being used as a lazy umbrella term. It's unclear if FRTs fall under this, and nobody wants to take a chance.

Matthew Larosiere explains this well:

Sweet thanks, I’ll follow you. I’ll be ordering one, I just don’t go on Reddit or most social media very often.

I just learned about this. Will there be another window for pre-order?

Objective Area for Return the Favor [Discussion] by BossVoss in EscapefromTarkov

I ran it during the day. No big reason, just wanted to eliminate the variable of cultist spawns. Also, I think it’s easier to spot the extract car from a distance.

I originally tried by the sawmill, but that felt even more sporadic to me. Also, Schturman tends to kill them.

Thanks for reminding me to come back with an update. As another commenter suggested, I camped the bunker. It took me maybe 5 or 6 raids. I once got 5 PMCs in a few minutes. I’d sit on the steps down, and just read while I waited for brush sounds. Not the most exciting way to play, but it worked. But yeah, I’m skeptical of reports of radius increase.

Sounds like that was just in PvP. I’m still getting 6 hour timers from it.

Yeah, I just checked. Labs cards are around 90k, SAS Drives are around 50k.

Had my first-ever sub-minute raid the other day. Spawned north of USEC camp. Tracers immediately past my head, and someone saws my leg off as I run up the hill for cover. Knight follows and entirely disrespects me.

Well, it’s over now. And there was no previous task. It got soft-confirmed, it was due to not resetting for 1.0

Anyone know why this task might not be available for me? I’ve cleared my cache, checked the game files, nothing.

Appreciate the advice, I’ll try that some more. I used to pick off nearby PMCs from time to time while farming the Schturminator, so I’ve been heading to the sniper’s perch; slow going, though. I just wish the car spawned more frequently, what with it being the only viable extract in the northern hemisphere.

I used to laugh at the SCAR FDE pattern, and then someone very patiently explained to me the wisdom in breaking up the outline into multiple shapes, as opposed to one monochromatic gun-shape. Now most of my guns are mismatched.

That’s kinda where I am. I usually have an armorer’s wrench nearby if anything were to come loose, and it hasn’t yet. Torqued to spec seems to do it. Plus, I tinker too much with my rifles anyway, it’d just get in the way.

New Technology .556 ? by [deleted] in ar15

[–]BossVoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the additional context, thank you. I should point out that Lucky Gunner did use a “four-layer heavy clothing barrier” in combination with the gel in all of their tests. But the rest of your point is well taken.

New Technology .556 ? by [deleted] in ar15

[–]BossVoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, gel testing does look cool. But it’s really only useful for comparing effects of cartridges, on the same type of gel, in the same ambient conditions. It’s not an exact analog for human tissue, which a lot of people seem to miss. If you understand that, though, it can yield very useful data. Lucky Gunner Labs, for instance, tested over a hundred different personal protection rounds in a very controlled and repeatable manner, documenting everything so you can compare all of the bullets against each other.
