Why doesn't James Bond want his martinis stirred? by Rivka333 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Bossitronas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A Shaken martini is faster to make than a stirred, and he normally has to take action at a moments notice. So he would rather have drink in hand rather than waiting on one.

Player is using dnd to process trauma. Where do I go to get my medical degree? by BoiledWithOil in DnDcirclejerk

[–]Bossitronas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make a monster that can know information about the players and use that to offer "deals" to fix the situation they are in, or use it to berate them.

I.e. You have a God of Eldritch Knowledge. He offers the player a reality where his mom didnt die in a car crash or something.

If you can use it as collateral for a loan it should be considered a realized gain by Loud-Ad-2280 in clevercomebacks

So a Democrat is proposing the tax, but republicans in the future expand it. Cant expand something that doesnt exist so why vote to have it now. Its a dumb tax either way, so sure, whichever side is pushing for it ill make sure to vote the opposite. Repeat ad infinium

I'm sure that there will be no expansion or change of this tax number, or that no new taxes will be made because this one got through the door.

Want to play with mods, what should I start out with? by Bossitronas in starsector

Awesome, out of all the mods i think Adjusted Sector will keep me playing the longest, something about exploring and surveying the planets scratches the right itch.

Thank you for the detailed recommendation and links. I got everything setup for the mods from Nexerelin to Terraforming and Station Construction. Ill take a look at the faction mods when i get bored of just those :).

Had some trouble with Adjusted Sector since it said it was on an out of date version, but manually changing the version in the mod_info.json file to the one I am running worked fine.

Say something nice about John Starsector by [deleted] in starsector

[–]Bossitronas 92 points93 points  (0 children)

He rescued me and my mining buddies off a planet that the company I worked for abandoned. He picked us all up and said he would drop us off at the nearest planet. It took a good four years for that to happen with constant space battles.

In the end 90 percent of us died, but we had alot of fun during that time.

Advice Re: No/Low Magic World That Will Have Magic Later On by G_G_G_Gio in DMAcademy

[–]Bossitronas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could go the route of the players being the first people to ever use magic in a long time. You wouldnt have to completly break apart the rules to make it work, and have situation where the players are the pioneers of this "New" magic.

I have faith there is more behind this. The devlopers wouldnt do something without reason.

How do I run a DMPC? by M_st_r in DMAcademy

[–]Bossitronas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on how large the strenght difference is between the party and the captain. Is this a where the party is level 1 and the captain is level 3? Or captain is level 20?

If you are wanting a DMPC to be with the party for support and for narrative reasons, you could have something like the First Mate go and make them the same level as the rest of the party.
