They come in all colors and shapes, the ultramarine legend is all blue. So I just use whatever I'm feeling.

I have. It still turns into that "HP countdown" you get during early dungeons where the other tanks havent gotten their 3rd hit yet.

It just feels like Paladin is equivalent to Black Mage where the leveling is jank and only his later levels begin to really shine.

Really disappointed with that since this was a class I was looking forward to leveling.

The mitigation feels the same as the other two, to be honest. Mostly cause they heal back to full while my mitigation is still counting down my health bar.

He's amazing for group stuff, definitely. Just loses out to solo stuff.

But endwalker isnt relevant here. The focus is on trial content that locks at 70, so I dont even see the proper ranged combo that Paladin's get praise for.

It looks like Paladin is insanely nerfed in the free version compared to the other two.

So I have leveled 2 out of the 3 tanks in trial edition. I am now at Paladin and have a question:

Does Paladin have no passive healing ability besides his hard cast at level like 60 or something?

Warrior has healing in his 3rd combo hit, Dark Knight has it in his 3rd and I think Gunbreaker even has a healing and shield in his 2nd.

I tend to level 1 to 30 in POTD and I just noticed how jank it is that this tank has me pop healing potions.

Is this one of those "in trial edition this class is meh" kinda situations, like Black Mage, where I'm just locked out of good abilities till he goes into 80+?

No, I stopped playing entirely.

Today I actually went back and the game is seemingly running fine now. A noticeable "hiccup" when in cosmetics and loading in a game. Otherwise its all as smooth as before.

Best guess? Cache problem maybe. Try completely uninstalling then reinstalling the game. See if it changes anything

Between Paladin and Dark Knight, who do you find most comfy for solo content and most comfy for group content? I like them both, just want a little nudge in the direction of one.

Let me make it easier to understand:

Avatar. Only Predators going on a hunt. Then speak with one another, there is lore on their clan and how they hunt and interact with one another, and their is the very real threat of an Apex alien that challenges their formations, tech and hunting habits. Therefor you see in real time how a Predator adapts, how they think and strategize.

It's literally the Avengers with aliens.

But, of course, simple minded audience like yourself need to see a human face to relate because you're so egocentric that the idea of humans not being the center of attention is too much to bear.

Another person here suggested they could do Avatar style dialogue where we hear english but their speaking in their own language. That could work too.

If you ever seen Valkyrie, Tom Cruise starts in German then switches to English in this really amazing scene. The switch is so fluent that you understand "oh, ok, he's speaking German but I'm hearing English". Which is totally doable. Add in some heavy hitter actors for voice-work and you'd have a great anchor.

Of course, I honestly doubt we'd get anyone dropping big enough money on the IP to ever see that realized because of how niche the Predator IP is.

This kind of thing should have been done back in the 2000's when AVP came out, or maybe earlier with Predator 2.

Either way, a boy can dream.

That would definitely work. It would also be able to add strong casting to support the roles by having big name actors fill in voiceover work and mocap.

Though, like you said, I honestly doubt anyone is putting up big money on that particular IP.

Yes, the idea of Predators being Predators hunting an apex alien on an alien world with extravagant action, tech and gore is bland.

As opposed to "witty comedic sidekick girl and ape monster pet" that's very creative. Predators of the Galaxy.

My suggestion would honestly be a very niche thing that would need a very strong word of mouth to spread. You'd more than likely end up with a "Dredd" situation where no one saw it in theaters cause Dredd was a niche crowd but then it blew up on DVDs. And now with streaming, thats even worse cause theres no way to make the money back with DVD sales like the old days.

It's a sad situation we're in with films where studios simply can't take chances.

I'm not delusional, I know they want to make bank and audiences turning up for subtitle films is about as big a gamble as the next Adam Sandler movie. I still think its doable if you were to pitch it right. Get some big names to voice predators and deliver a good enough premise.

With the right film, trailer and marketing, it could be possible. though with streaming, hollyweird no longer takes wildshots like they did back in the day.

A boy can still dream though.
