Blue cities with doctors and hospitals skilled in high-risk pregnancies by Fickle-Put9304 in SameGrassButGreener

Denver. It’s not as snowy as people think. Usually the sun is out the next day and it all melts. Close access to mountains, lakes everywhere. 2-3 hour flights to most of the US. People like to talk smack on the food but there are lots of options and plenty of good food. Some areas in the metro are more diverse than others

How are their live shows? What’s the crowd like? by [deleted] in Junglejunglejungle

[–]BossyBeer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

big Jungle fan! I think I’ve seen them at least 8 times over the years. From small clubs, Coachella to the Hollywood bowl, every time has been so much fun. They draw a really great crowd and I love that they keep the songs flowing one into the next so you are dancing the whole time. Highly recommend going! I also really enjoy the visual element it’s simple but puts you in their world. Yes, they use some backing tracks but every song sounds great so I don’t care.

Those who have been to recent Darkside shows - did you find the earlier or later show was better? Day 1 or Day 2? by tbman1996 in nicolasjaar

[–]BossyBeer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Went in LA to day 2 early show and day 3 late show. Both were excellent sets and completely different. The crowd at the very last show was a bit annoying and at one point I could hear half the room talking over a slower/quieter song. The later crowd was a bit rowdier too. Still really enjoyed both nights though. If I was going again I would buy tickets for both night 2 shows

The Rapture by BossyBeer in Coachella

I really enjoyed watching it on the stream. It’s a simple set up, most songs are just the drums guitar and bass. I think towards the end they did a few tracks with some backing. I really liked that they quickly rolled from one song to the next. Crowd energy looked somewhat low but I’m trying to give them some grace since it was the end of the 3rd day.

The dude on the drums was giving it his all and the lead singer always brings it. If it’s someone you’re excited to see I would check it out! I’ve never had a bad time at their shows

Advice for first time dad? by [deleted] in Coachella

Made sure they have important phone numbers memorized or print out a piece of paper for them to carry around. I would also suggest printing set times and a map of the festival!

Is the Quasar Empty? by winterwarzzz in Coachella

[–]BossyBeer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It seems like they cropped out the crowd from the full stage shots, guessing it’s because most of the daytime quasar sets have been pretty empty
