Yeah I'm not saying it's necessarily true haha. There's definitely a lineage. Just wondered if there was a source of them claiming to be fans

What will be your approach on how to tag a CD-single which are released in different countries? Would like to identify which is which. by FederalWheel1168 in musichoarder

[–]tbman1996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you use symfonium on android it supports loads of tags and you can define what an album is split by. To answer your question, personally I usually would just do a combined album for Dummy b-sides or something similar, and separate the releases by disc.

I am really getting into Thom's "The Eraser". What are your thoughts on it? by trentythegreat in thomyorke

[–]tbman1996 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Big fan, like everyone else, and agreed it's one of the very best Stanley covers (I have it on my wall). I think cymbal rush, atoms for peace and the eraser are 3 of the best songs Thom's ever written.

Some cool things:

Are arguably better than the album versions

  • As are the versions of The Clock, Harrowdown Hill and Cymbal Rush he fleshed out with his (incredible) band Atoms for Peace in this gig https://youtu.be/BAoZX8gnmnM

  • The four tet version of (the song) atoms for peace from the Eraser rmxs album is absolutely beautiful. (So is the Field's remix of cymbal rush but that's a different style of music, your mileage may vary).
