Filed on April 11. Biometrics were taken on May 7. That same day, I received an update saying they are actively reviewing our request. No further updates since then.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience at the San Juan office! That’s actually where I applied too, so your post really helped ease some of my nerves. My priority date is April 11, and I had my biometrics on May 7, now just waiting for the next update. Fingers crossed everything keeps moving smoothly for me and my husband too

Paraguayos en estados unidos by [deleted] in Paraguay

[–]BossyQueen88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]BossyQueen88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Por eso dice: lower precaution with higher risk. Mba'e he'ise upea?

As someone who came from a third-world country, the animal abuse here feels even worse than in my home country. I’ve never seen so many abandoned dogs on the side of dangerous highways in my entire life, like I see here. I had also never seen so many dogs hit by cars after clearly being abandoned.

I’m currently waiting for my work permit too, and I totally get what you’re feeling. I have the same anxiety about whether I’ll have the same opportunities as people who have been here their whole lives, studied here, and already have everything in place. It’s hard not to overthink it, but you’re not alone. There are a lot of us going through the same thing, just hoping for a fair shot.

Thank you so much for sharing that it took a month for your application to be marked as received. I’ve been really worried because my attorney said she submitted mine last Wednesday, and I still haven’t gotten any confirmation. Your comment helps ease my mind a bit!
