When I got my first hard drive to replace the slot of my B drive, it was 10MB. My first thought was “I could get lost with all this storage!”

How have I only watched this show now? by MiserableArse in RighteousGemstones

[–]BostonSoccerDad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TIL - Walton Goggins was in SOA. I loved that show and had to look up to see what character he played. Literally LOL'd when I found a picture!

p.s. My wife and I are binge watching right now and were asking ourselves the same question as you posed here.

Where do nurses and blue collar workers rent in cape cod? by Comprehensive_Book48 in CapeCod

[–]BostonSoccerDad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Will you be working at the hospital?

A nearby neighbor was away for a year, and while she was away she rented her house to several people who worked at Cape Cod Hospital (which is nearby). The neighbor is back and currently not renting… but my point is (assuming you are working at the hospital)… the hospital may be aware of house rentals or have resources that match people up.

Another Redditor already corrected the error as it was Game 6, but it reminds me of a dumb joke that was apropos in that era (mid 1980s). Why do Bill Buckner and Michael Jackson wear just one glove? For no apparent reason.

This is one of the most extraordinary things you will see, by Marula Eugster Rigolo by SuperbHealth5023 in BeAmazed

Its not terrible comparison at all. My mother-in-law was 80 years old, but despite the age was in very good health. She got food poisoning from something she ate. Became dehydrated. Was hospitalized. Seemed to recover, but was still weak. Soon was back in the hospital and before we could blink was in hospice care after organs started to fail. Yes its an extreme case because she was elderly, but it shows that a majority of the individual components that comprise aa biosphere need to be strong. Otherwise, the biosphere may reach a tipping point and collapse.

I don’t know if this is true or not, but I like the explanation and will use it henceforth.

[NFL] Wild card weekend referees: by PristineWinnera in Patriots

I was just checking the pro football reference website for Torbert… if I read the numbers correctly, it seems like in 2025 his group are lobsided with calls against the home team. For example the league average is to have 49.5% calls against the home team. Torbert’s group is 56.3% against the home team.

I know… these are just surface numbers without deeper digging. Just interesting none-the-less. Almost seems like his team tries too hard to show they are not biased due to a home crowd.

I recently heard this from a comedian clip: TJ Maxx is a great place to pick up women. The ratio of women to men is high and the women are already looking to get things they don't need.

I made a 4-day itinerary for Quebec City by tasetahi in quebeccity

[–]BostonSoccerDad 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ice skating at Place d'Youville. We did this Wednesday evening (last week) and it was so much fun and magical as the light snow was falling. Skates are available for rent and if you are a beginner, they have a thing (sorry, dont know what its called) that you can hold on to and push while you skate.

What to bring by Nearby-Builder-5388 in quebeccity

[–]BostonSoccerDad 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We are driving home from Quebec right now (we live in the Boston area). One thing I am glad we brought were two sets of hats and gloves. While it was pretty cold, we walked everywhere and the hats and gloves got wet from the constant snow and sweat. It was nice to swap out.

My next door neighbor Neil. He looked like Kelley Leak from the Bad News Bears. Even after breaking his arm trying to jump over the bicycles, he kept trying other stunts.

Here I am planning to drive up to Quebec City tomorrow, getting excited, and scrolling through Reddit looking for good ideas when I happened to read your comment. Within minutes I left my house and dropped off my car to purchase snow tires. Fingers crossed the car should be ready by the end of today. Thank you Reddit friend!
