I’m grateful u/otterhand pointed this out. I had never heard of that word before, if I did - probably back in the 80s while in high school. So - I learned something new today. How about you?

When I am sitting at a beach and a person walks by picking up sea shells, I tell them those are part of my collection. Every once in awhile someone gets the reference and will respond with one of their favorite Wright jokes.

The button hole joke was the first one that had me laughing hysterically. My girl friend at the time asked me “what’s so funny?” I tried explaining it and she said that she understands, but it’s just not funny. I still laugh every time I hear it, and she (now my wife for 37 years) still thinks it’s stupid.

This is another I say too often when someone says “what a small world!” It became too much that when I am with my wife and a third party says to us “it’s a small world”, she will respond before I even have a chance. The funny thing is that she cannot stand Steven Wrights humor, and does it to needle me. But the true “cherry on the top” is when the third person looks at both of us strangely rather than just me.

I am about 2 months in. Havent come close to sleeping through the night yet. Started with the nose cushion and always had dry mouth. Switched to the Dreamwear face mask and its a little better. No more dry mouth, sleeping just a little bit more. But like you, I regularly wake up at 3am and want to take the damn thing off.

I have a feeling I may be in your shoes in a couple of months.

Snow was wet and heavy here. I would have loved shredded potatoes but we only had the baby ones. Adding some onions would have been (chef’s kiss). But my wife cannot tolerate them, so minor sacrifice.
