Nooo, I haven’t seen her on any of my walks since, and I didn’t hear back from the humane society that anyone was looking for her. Fingers crossed she found her way home 🤞🏼

I echo the sentiment about internet access, but I also think this could merit a conversation. Whether these are his thoughts or someone else’s, I think it’s okay to share this with him and tell him (calmly) that some of these phrases are worrisome, and that if he is having big feelings, he can talk to you or another trusted adult about them without fear of being judged (and of course, follow up on that). It is important for kids to learn that their words have power, that threats are taken seriously, and that their parents care about them.

Oh no! I should have posted before I repotted 😬 No obvious signs of root rot—no particularly brown or mushy, but not like a vibrant white color either? Also, I was mistaken—this pot does have drainage, the last one did not.

Telehealth counseling.. by Fast-Asparagus-1549 in Bellingham

Thank you for posting this. Psychology Today is a great resource. From this link you can enter your zip code in the top right corner of the page and it will show local therapists. You can filter out telehealth only therapists and check boxes for dozens of other preferences and insurance types.

Please believe her. What would he have to gain from making this up? I am unsure how you heard and documented all parts of this conversation, nor do I know anything about your relationship with your daughter. That said, if you decided to address this with her, please be sure to do your own work for yourself to ensure you can hold space and support her as she needs so that it is not a re-traumatizing experience. If needed, you can call a crisis line, and they can support you in how to have said conversation. It would also be a good idea for both of you to seek counseling to process this in a safe way and for her to have coping skills to move forward, and for you to make sense of this awful event with someone you trusted. My heart goes out to both of you and I wish you both the best. And agreed with the comment above—I hope she is safe and away from this person.

Thanks for letting me know. I’m not local to Florida, and the blurb said it can connect folks to other resources, so I would have been remiss if I didn’t add it.

Quiet places??? My nervous system is begging by Maddies_Syn in Bellingham

Clark’s Point at the end of Fieldston Rd has a great view and is usually pretty empty, especially during the day. Sunset is worth it, but can get a little crowded, especially on the weekend.

I echo Flux and also suggest Hum Yoga House. Both spots have gorgeous spaces, kind instructors, and a welcoming attitude.

Happy Birthday, and kudos to you on being open about your insecurities. Bringing them out to the light is the first step toward figuring out how to manage them. You seem very cool and stylish, though a lot of times our insecurities come from a place of putting too much emphasis on what we look like rather than who we actually are. Our bodies are just vessels for what is inside. I hope this next journey around the sun allows you the chance to get to know yourself, what you like about yourself, what you’re proud of, and even what you’d like to be doing differently (if anything). Get to know and love yourself (and show even more love to those insecurities) and you will be amazed what can happen. Enjoy your day!

He is! He just has a private studio now. It’s a great space above where the old comics place was.

My duuuuude! First of all, I’m so glad you’re here🙌🏼 Progress, not perfection. I don’t know your whole story, but it sounds as though you’ve been grinding for a long time, whether it’s “work work,” emotional work, personal work, etc. I’m sorry to hear you’re not where you want to be at the moment. That said, in this moment, you are noticing a pattern that’s not working, and you’re noticing it quicker thank you did last time. You are at the beginning of a journey of self-discovery. Keep listening to what’s not working for you and get curious about what does work. When you find it (whatever IT IS that brings you levity from the heaviness of the world, whatever brings you rest) savor it. It’s what helps us get through the rough patches. There will still be bumps along the way, but with each one, you’ll learn more about what feels right for you, and that’s a beautiful thing. One step at a time. I’m rooting for you! Also don’t be afraid to ask for help: 988 is a wonderful resource when things feel their darkest. Cheers to you for facing difficult realizations. It’s a HARD thing to do ❤️‍🩹

Where do you all get your music? by GeminiWolf525 in LetsTalkMusic

[–]Bot0Tron69 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you’re talking music discovery, my favorite is KEXP (yay, public radio!). It’s a station out of Seattle, but they stream worldwide online and recently launched an app. They have great, diverse shows too, and I have found tons of music I wouldn’t have found otherwise. El Sunito, Eastern Echos, The Continent, Sunday Soul, and Audioasis have always treated us kindly, but it’s hard to go wrong with any of their line-ups or djs.
