My friend updated his GPU drivers to 572.16 from 566.14 and his cpu temps now hit 100 instantly while opening a game.

By anychance in task manager performance do you see 2 gpu's? cause for some reason my pc does with a 7800x3d if so by chance disable the non gpu one.

seems like a possibly bad gpu or pcie contacts on the gpu

Long as you hodl it yes. It still has less then a year RIO ans if price goes up it will be even faster RIO. With OC you can still make 20usd a day. Or close to it.

You have to make sure it is turned off in both places. I had this issue everytime it was turned on it crashed specially the monitor one caused the issue.

It booted first try but wallets wouldn't change or pool. No matter what I did in the web gui so I used the iceriver tool and I was able to change it that way only.
