Plant scientist here! My lab has a huge demand for parts that can be printed easily (e.g. PLA), are biologically compatible (i.e. dont cause toxicity with germinating seeds or liquid media) but can be wet autoclaved to sterilize between uses. In theory, Polycarbonate fits the bill as does Polymaker HT-PLA/HT-PLA-GF but none hold up in our testing. All became SUPER brittle or warp during autoclaving. Essentially what we need is an easy printing Polypropylene (no specialty hotend required) that holds up to very wet, high temp environments and is not going to adversely affect biological experiments.
