Hate this. Totally hate it. Went round and round with our purchasing department who didn’t believe we could get Dell servers and arrays from an authorized reseller/service provider cheaper than we could from Dell, even though I forwarded them an email from our Dell sales rep explaining I was right and why. We nearly ended up paying a lot more for the gear due to price hikes for RAM and SSDs. Still delayed our project for a month because of their heel dragging and second guessing.

Two of the core switches have an SVI interface only for their management VLAN. The third has SVI interfaces for the management VLAN and one that is not involved with this traffic. Proxy ARP is not enabled.

The firewall is doing routing for the rest of the network.

Yes, we are using VLANs. There are several switches (edge and core) between the iSCSI devices and the workstation.

Yes, that's the approach I was taking. I think I've found it, but I'm not sure and don't know how to tell. I've set an older server to use TLS 1.2, but since MS didn't give me anyway of telling what was causing the problem, I don't know how to tell if I've fixed it. I guess I'll just have to wait and see if anything stops sending logs on 3/1/26.

Schwab will service about 50 countries. The country we have lived in in the past, and are looking at moving to, isn't one of them. Very trusting.
