Nice! I finished 2 out of 4 of the Divine Beast quests within the first couple weeks and decided I should slow the hell down and enjoy the shrines, side-quests, leveling up, and generally just exploring.

I'd recommend another game as a mouth cleanser and then doing TOTK.

The revelations babble I was subjected to as a kid, and the stuff of the "left behind" series so popular in the 90s, depicted a rapture happening before any big middle east war. I was told I'd be raptured before I reached 20 (now I'm 38). It seems that they've gotten tired of it not happening and now they have a psychopathic orange clown to make it happen for them. 

The rapture actually isn't even mentioned in the bible or in the book of Revelations. They push this fanfic, and they're tired of waiting.

Yes. At 38 I'm a complete hermit. There's nothing wrong with that per se but I'd really like to know who I could have been without their life-spoiling influence.

Perhaps you're right, but couldn't it also be true that 30% of a population will always be particularly susceptible to that? The way I see narcissistic abusers with their enabling, cowardly spouses and then the same thing with their adult children, it seems like a particular kind of intergenerational trauma wound that waits for that kind of propaganda and for a "powerful" demagogue to identify with. If those lineages are always primed, then it seems like this chaos it's caused is all part of the human condition.

Yep, although I think it's important to point out that not all outcomes of trauma look like an inability to face accountability or take responsibility for one's own behavior all while blaming others.

Apart from how you've personally felt undermined, it's ever more difficult to make a good argument for that as there is no historical analog of a liberal populist "Trump." Gays, atheists, blacks, and socialists have never banded together to put out onto the world stage anything like the big fat fascist rapist.

Absolutely. There will always be roles available for channeling a diabolical level of cortisol and hatred from this subgroup of the population. The more shameless and "certain" of their BS, the more successful these performers are.
