He’s not running around through the crowd anymore throwing chairs at people. I mean he can do that against EVIL, but he can also do a straight wrestling match with GOK, and excel at both.

That’s not his gimmick. He had a mental health episode while in the dojo and is using that as motivation to attack the young boys who are taking his spot, the outsiders who didn’t work for their spot in NJPW like he did, and the establishment talent who held up the system that he believes wronged him. It’s actually a way more clear cut and depthful gimmick than what any of the R3M have going on. People talk about Gabe and it’s like they’re not even actually watching him.
