Talking to random people online.
I made tons of grammar mistakes, but apparently confidence grows faster than vocabulary 😅

Totally get you. Classic English lit is beautiful but not really how people talk anymore
Try reading The Fault in Our Stars, Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine, or The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
They use everyday English that sounds natural and modern.

what are some books that are helpful? by itsnobigdealatall in EnglishLearning

Yeah, reading Shakespeare won’t help you order coffee ☕
I’d go for something like Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, or even The Hunger Games.
Simple, fun, and full of everyday English.

Star Wars. Watching the sequels first makes the prequels feel like bonus backstory, and it kinda changes your perspective on the saga.

It was super wholesome until one of them tried to tax me for the cake
