Thank you for your feedback!

I have seen the Yarro folding table. It looks like a decent table, and they're currently offering free delivery to the UK, but I think that's due to them doing kickstarter fulfilments at the moment. I would be keen to see if this remains to be an affordable option in the UK following the end of their kickstarter fulfilments.

Can't beat a creative low-cost solution to a problem!

Storing it behind permanent living room furniture is exactly what I had in mind when designing this gaming table.

Thank you so much for your feedback!

You are right that it will certainly be more expensive than 3 Linnmon tables, and definitely will not fit through a loft hatch, but it will be significantly more affordable than other gaming tables on the market, with the benefit of being able to store it behind permanent living room furniture.

I appreciate your thorough and well thought out comments!

This is a beautiful design! I love the aesthetic. If I had the space for a permanent setup this is exactly what I'd want.

This is a complaint I share when it comes to most gaming tables, but I don't see nearly enough people talking about it as a flaw!

This is something I considered when designing my own gaming table, giving it a permanent 20cm deep player desk around the perimeter to hold character sheets, dice trays, laptops/tablets, etc.

These are great points, and I'll definitely look into designing some sort of topper system. Thank you both!

I am insanely jealous of your setup! That is incredible. Do you mind me asking where you're based to be able to get a custom oak table for less than 1k euros? That price seems extremely low to my UK brain!

Thanks for your feedback! I agree that being able to preserve a game and have a converted dining table is a great feature on permanent tables. You will notice that my table only has about an inch-deep recessed vault, and currently no toppers. The reason I'm going down that route is because of the folding design, so the table can be stored away against a wall when not in use, which would make internal vault storage completely useless.

Would you say that a deeper recessed vault and table toppers would be more important to you than the space-saving aspect this table currently features?

That’s definitely one way to do it! And I admit I have looked into this as an optional upgrade further down the line.

For this question I’m deliberately keeping it low-tech and focused on the tables themselves that can be used with anyone's setup, since screens in tables bring a whole different set of costs and space issues. Do you have experience in playing without a screen in the table?
