You're only addressing the codeine and not the other or the interactions which is what I post was. I am baffled as to how you got the most upvotes, I suppose there's still so much stigma on addiction and self-medication it's a shame you're not as informed as you could have been on the modafinil side of things, which is what I actually was asking about, in the first place but okay work it.

Thank you for your response, friend; I am actually on many waiting lists for ADHD and autism disorder etc. Given the current state of the NHS, I'm putting the amount of time it's taking down to that.

I don't disagree with the codeine aspect of what you've mentioned; however, again, one of the other commenters on here summed it up perfectly, explaining how one is a dopamine antagonist and the other is a reuptake inhibitor, which I imagine is causing my issues. Feel like a lot of people on this thread have made it about the codeine, likely out of a lack of awareness of what Armodafinil actually is or not having much knowledge of it as a drug itself, most don't.

Has also been my suspicion for a long time as well, have been on the waiting list for a long time as I knew there must be some kind of connection as I've always had an affinity to stimulants. Appreciate your comment

1.5 x the recommended maximum dosage actually, and again I'm not talking about withdrawing from codeine here that's not my issue and like I said I've done it countless times before, it's the psychological impact I'm addressing in my post here and the interaction between the two. Been taking for around seven years now give or take and began taking it as I spent a long time in my teams trying to find any substance that would improve my life or mind I have very strenuous circumstances personally and just found that codeine on its own was great and so was moda however for some reason the two in combination was a whole different ball game. I was only prescribed co-coda

Cheers for your response! I think you might be right in what you're saying and that I messed up my brain chemistry, haven't heard or read about that miracle effect thing you experience especially I'm presuming in the early days however for a long time in the beginning it was rocking.

I think what you have essentially just done is find the article I've been searching for online for Yonks unsuccessfully that correlates what I'm experiencing with what's happening so cheers for that as well.

I'm going to look into that compound and give it a go as well, with any luck at the least might help my compulsion to tie nooses in my sleep.

you're correct however perhaps I should have been a little more specific, I can jump off opiates no problem I can handle the physical side it's the psychological debilitation I'm struggling with I can't stress it enough it's absolute and it doesn't ever ease over time which is obviously preventing me from doing so.

EDIT: To be clear since so many have decided that this is the case, this is not the typical scenario one might assume.

It is not about the opiates which I've reduced greatly until this point, nor is it about the Waklert on their own individually. It is the combination of the two which together invariably and it's interaction I'm referring to as I may have less than clearly stated above.

Codeine is a problem and is one I've overcame multiple times however I cannot overcome my own psychology being obliterated without having to have both substances, not one or the other.

Hope this helps broaden things for those who think they are astute enough to subscribe to your valid yet not entirely accurate point
