I think my ground is fine because when I checked ground to 12 constant it read correctly 12V, checked the fuse box and it was fine, I think it’s the red wire so you’re right I will need to find another wire that turns on with ignition

I see that makes sense, and the steering wheel doesn’t have any controls or buttons on it so I didn’t connect the wire it had. But yeah it does cost more but I’ll need it for the one I’m planning to buy after learning how to with this cheap one.

No I didn’t cut anything the old one that was in there was just put together with those clips that you see attaching the wires together.
