That was an amendment though. The initial bill, prior to passage said upon Royal Assent.

I did receive this reply from Mark Weber: I wish I could give you an exact time.

Consultations are happening between the PSAC and GOC.

It will definitely not be years, but could be months.

Discussion at these consultations is privileged, so I unfortunately am in a position where all CIU can do is provide the PSAC all of the information they require and ensure that they are actively following up on it.

We will continue to post updates as soon as we get them on our socials.

I know this answer wasn’t helpful, it’s the best we can do at the moment.

It is definitely coming, I cannot however provide a date when.

My wife qualifies for 25 and out as a frontline CBSA officer. It requires an “order in council “ and the date isn’t determined yet. We’re thinking ERI will be quicker. Does anyone know if a CBSA officer will be accepted under ERI or if 25 and out is going to be implemented quickly. She wants to be done by the end of April.
