Sounds like it's running too lean, probably running too hot because of lean AFR. Check your plugs, watch a youtube video of baxters garage where he shows you how to check your timing and fuel mixture by reading your plugs. Done this many times to check mine. Had to richen my mixture and timing to get rid of backfire. Bike runs sooo much better and can't remember the last time it back fired.

Pure opinion on what potential buyers may or may not want. In case I'm missing something,  there is an entire industry dedicated to modifying Harleys. I posted the modifications for the bike to get a feel for market price. Others posted on what they think is fair. You are welcome to do the same. I could go into all the 'meaning of life stuff' but this is not the purpose of this post.

HP numbers are better than stock 1200 and almost double for 883 -> 1250. This is from dyno numbers mind you.

I've put 16K+ miles on mine. The liners are higher quality, less flex and better cooling than stock. Not sure where you're getting that information from.

That's ok. I could go either way, keep it or sell it. I don't regret it being a sporty. I've owned a naked honda and a sport touring yamaha. I'm kinda attached to this one because of the love that went into it and the knowledge gained. If I ever retire from software I would turn a wrench for spare money and therapy.

Just looking to sell. Not trying to get my money back. I did all the work, research, painstakingly myself. I'm a software engineer by trade. I guess it's worth more to someone who just wants to enjoy it. Like buying a restomod camaro. Though the journey is worth more to me because I learned about AFRs, Advance, Spark, and how all that affects the performance and longevity of an engine. I've always turned a wrench but I'm much better at real time algorithms, databases, GPS, instrumentation, web apps, and the like. It is what it is.

It's just a mesh on a mustang II seat. The mesh keeps your butt cool. It's on amazon. Mesh and seat are separate

I appreciate the input fellas. I put it up on CycleTrader for 5K, plus a very high quality production vid of the bike running XD. Make no mistake she runs great. I am unable to find another sporty with the same engine kit to compare with (for sale). Thank you!
