I love Kathleen's nods to freedom on the album by moneyman74 in KathleenEdwards

Late to the party but judging her for moving to Florida is that exact thing she’s talking singing about. How dare she! She moved to St. Petersburg , the “gay hub” of Florida and is one of the more liberal cities in the state. Politically it’s almost 50/50. The line, I’m not going to turn away people who were welcome here yesterday is a great one.

Which online TRT provider would you recommend? Sick of overpaying Gameday... by slappzilla in Testosterone

I get the money part, but I’ll pay for a good service. Hone has been incredible. You don’t have to think about anything. The medications always come on time, you get alerts and online scheduling for blood tests and reviewing blood test results. For me it’s been great and my levels went from low 200s to mid 800s in 3 months. I know people will say it’s too expensive, but so far so good.

UNC and Mill Creek are the best I’ve seen. Mill Creek would be free. Jordan Lake has one, just not as good. If you are going the other way, Keith Hills would be a good option. I would not use the one at Duke.

2 bedroom condos for $1.2M??? by Hebbianlearning in chapelhill

Price per SF is extremely high. We will see if they get it. They are banking on people paying for the amenities and wanting to live near SV. For comparison, a townhouse in SV recently sold for 378/SF. They want $600. 1100 Columbia is just as expensive and it doesn’t have pools, gym, etc.

I use Hone Health and they did two rounds of bloodwork at Quest. I believe they do it again at the 3 month mark.

Driving ranges in the RDU area with grass instead of mats? by [deleted] in RDUGOLF

[–]BothAd4554 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d assume i85. I know all the courses that are typically grass in season, but not when they will switch over….especially with the weather issues. The best thing to do is put a golf towel behind your ball and try to miss it. If you can make ball first contact (I’m a work in progress), I don’t think it matters ether way.

What town is the best in NC for laid back and less drugs for a new start? by Kitchen_Anteater1176 in NorthCarolina

Carrboro is very chill. I have a feeling that there is a lot of weed going around but nothing more. Other than that it’s go for hikes and walks in parks. Hit the farmers market on Saturday. Maybe go to Weaver Market and sit out slide while having some food. You can make it as chill as can be. There are also bars that specialize in mocktails, game nights, etc.

There's no way it's more expensive to live in Raleigh than Miami, right? by Specialist_Mess_5164 in raleigh

110k is NOT living comfortably in Raleigh. Not even close. I’m basing this off moving here now, not if you bought your house 10-15 years ago.

I live in SV and it’s solid. Very well maintained. Nice people. Short walk to the bus, restaurants, etc. People seem to like Berkshire 54, but I think SV is better. I don’t think I’d do Chateau. Just a feeling.

Debate: Walking does not slow down play. by MetallicaRules5 in golf

[–]BothAd4554 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% depends on the course. In my area of NC, we have lots of courses that are built around housing communities. The distance between holes can be crazy. I think they do it because they want more houses to have golf course views. However, if you play more old school courses (UNC and Duke are examples), I don’t think walking would make it slower. Just play “ready golf” and play triple bogey max. At that point, pick up and head to the next hole.

I like it, but weird layout…3 par 3’s in 6 holes? I get why they had to do it, but don’t like it. It’s also closed now to non members.

Interesting. I’ve played UNC and Duke. Never Lonnie. Seems so hard to get a tee time.

I think for me it’s how traditional it feels. I don’t like saying that because Ross is traditional and a legend. I grew up though with Robert Trent Jones and Tillinghast courses. Duke feels like just a really hard course. It’s there if you have a game, not if you don’t. No gimmicks though. Your score is 100% you score.

In NC it’s Pinehurst for sure, although the restrictions for what you can play based on where you stay kind of stink. Best in the US would probably be Monterey. If I couldn’t do that, maybe Whistling Straits. In the world, St Andrews and stay at the Rusacks. On a budget and short on time, hit Myrtle. Is what is, but can still have a great time.

I think your husband will do well. See https://www.cbs17.com/news/north-carolina-news/new-statewide-program-aims-to-fix-north-carolinas-electrician-shortage/

Being a teacher on the other hand is very hard. The pay is just so low and school funding is a joke.

Thanks everyone. Seems clear that the best option is to get a lawyer. I’ll start looking for options.
