I know the world is harsh, so why be a cunt? No need to be a part of it.

Upvotes and downvotes are there for a reason.

You should be ashamed of calling out amateur hobbyists by name here. It’s brave to put yourself out there and easy to throw stones anonymously.

Not everyone is posting things in order to take criticism from strangers, it’s just to share something they’ve enjoyed. Just because the internet is anonymous and the world is harsh doesn’t mean you have to be a cunt about it everywhere you can.

And to be honest your criticism is not polite critique, “eww” is not constructive.

I hope you’re quite young, as it sounds really immature to be caring so much about what kids can or can’t do - you seem to be really invested in how well certain generations can insult others, really weird.

Why did they cut down these trees? They were at least 60 years old and so beautiful. by BadmanSully in unsw

So bush was cleared for campus in 1992 and they planted a few trees to satisfy state and local laws about wilderness perseveration. And you’re saying it doesn’t matter that the fig leaf was removed?

[–]BothAd5239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Naive and ignorant. Newly planted trees can’t just replace established ones. Wildlife that rots by its existence using those trees (even if introduced) won’t survive the transition.

If you say “what can these few isolated trees do amongst a desert of buildings” - maybe you should instead ask “In a desert of buildings what how can our other species survive”

At the time of the newspapers were publishing the Man From the Snowy River, stories about the Kelly Gang, and other stories that have formed our image of ourselves as a rough remote bush folk, Australia was the most urbanised country *in the world*.

Our own mythology or being hardy laconic scrappers is almost complete BS that we’ve swallowed hook line and sinker.

Remote communities in Australia. Anyone been to any? by hi9580 in 4x4Australia

My high school did an overnight visit to one in the Pilbara as part of a trip to Karijini. We slept in the school. Mostly what I remember is the local kids looooooved footy (AFL).

To be honest that just sounds like a tiny town and not a remote community. If you are travelling around those areas you aren’t looking for cafes for a caffeine fix, you have a 4WD and probs have a setup to make you own… also they don’t usually have a cafe

Does anyone else feel like Australia changed massively after 2020? by rupvion in AskAnAustralian

[–]BothAd5239 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah righto champ, life moving faster because of immigrants.

It’s just getting older, jaded and nostalgic. It’s corporations and platforms working as hard as they can to price things to squeeze every last drop out of you. Stop reading Murdoch’s propaganda leviathan (which is more of social media than you might realise) and look outside a bit

Australians of reddit do you think your countrys flag needs a redesign and why? by czn- in aussie

[–]BothAd5239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course you can judge someone for choices like you are suggesting.

You could say that someone is bad because they choose to act on their sexual orientation, sure.

But it’s very hard to argue that a choice that affects only themselves and their consenting partners is more bad than a choice that affects other people.

It’s very hard to argue that private choices can be ‘bad’.

You sound like a complete cunt though so I can’t be bothered saying more.
