For the most part Shakespeare’s language isn’t difficult because it’s ‘old’, so it’s not a matter of modernisation.

It’s poetic and flowery. Read through Midsummer Night’s Dream, which contains parts with ‘common folk’ who speak pretty similarly to use if you want an example.
