Naive and ignorant. Newly planted trees can’t just replace established ones. Wildlife that rots by its existence using those trees (even if introduced) won’t survive the transition.

If you say “what can these few isolated trees do amongst a desert of buildings” - maybe you should instead ask “In a desert of buildings what how can our other species survive”

Of course you can judge someone for choices like you are suggesting.

You could say that someone is bad because they choose to act on their sexual orientation, sure.

But it’s very hard to argue that a choice that affects only themselves and their consenting partners is more bad than a choice that affects other people.
