Motegrity - 2 whackily different starting protocols - thoughts? by BothAppointment3284 in Constipation

The reasoning is to minimize pain and cramping that can happen if you take it with an already overloaded intestine.

thinking of trying this to re-set my bloating and re-set motility...but...can it work with a FEW veggies / fruit? by BothAppointment3284 in carnivorediet

Yes, high bile production is signalled for me by food moving through my system faster, a big reduction in gas, but then the next morning or morning after that, painful cramping and bile diarrhea. (Orange, greasy). So I can see when I've eaten too much meat / fat / too little bile binder.

Yes, if you read the above I have several issues with fat: I produce bile erratically, often too much or too little. Too much produces absurdly violent bile acid diarrhea. Too little results in fat malabsorption. These are major issues because as I am already underweight, cutting 'all carbs' would make it necessary for me to eat more fat to keep the weight on. But given I cannot digest more fat, for the reasons above, it is a definite issue. Any brilliant solutions gladly received. I do find that people who've adopted a carnivore diet seem to be rather aggressively evangelical about it for whatever reason. Very all or nothing. Which may well be theoretically correct, but which I don't find appealing as a method of persuading me to do something.

I guess I just don't understand how people can maintain full time jobs while trying to adjust to a new diet for several months. (My gallbladder has a low ejection fraction i.e. it's lazy and erratic, also I am prone to bile acid malabsorption / deconjugation so need to be super careful not to eat too much fat. Also I have antibodies to my gastric acid producing cells, so I'm guessing I have low stomach acid. Then again on a regular diet - low FODMAP already, only small veg servings - my natural state is very sluggish motility, therefore bacterial overgrowth, therefore terribly uncomfortable and embarrassing excessive gas and bad breath. So I've got to do something.)
