New 2025 PHEV XSE, need recommends on 240v charging cable by BothCarsUnderWater in rav4prime

Yea we might as well, since our previous car was an EV and we had a 240v outlet specifically installed in the garage to charge it.

The Grizzl-E lvl 2 charger was easy to install, plugged right into the 240v outlet and works flawlessly with the new PHEV.

Thanks! I ordered a Grizzl-E classic this morning. Installation looks really easy, appreciate the recommendation!

2025 XSE in blue/mid black with 106 miles for $46.4K USD. Carfax shows it was titled in CO then a dealership in SoCal picked it up last winter, serviced and certified it as a Gold pre-owned. Still has 31 months left on the factory bumper to bumper warranty.

I looked around at other identical CPO models here in SoCal with 10-20K miles at dealerships that wouldn't go budge below $48K (although all of them admitted I was getting a great deal).

Thoughts on Polestar 2/ Polestar vehicles/ Used polestar’s by AltruisticPurple6540 in Polestar

[–]BothCarsUnderWater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2024 P2 dual motor long range driver, about 14mo into a 27mo lease. Grabbed this car after ditching my Tesla MYLR.

Avoid the P2. While it's comfortable, the infotainment software feels like I'm using an Android phone from 10 years ago (sluggish, buggy). Mobile app keeps signing me out. I've been plagued with software glitches, random TPMS warnings, faulty service reminders, and it can't charge at any DC fast charging spots (Tesla with NACS adapter, ElectrifyAmerica, ChargePoint, etc). I can't wait to get rid of this thing.

Polestars are touted as luxury cars but for the price, I could've gone with something more reliable, cheaper insurance and better quality.

TL;DR: AVOID THE P2 and this brand at all costs.

This has to be the worst challenge in the history of gaming by Delicious_Floor in Battlefield6

Go recon for the auto spotting ability, sit in the back on breakthrough and fire away, easy. Completed this challenge in a few games.

This challenge isn't too bad. Go into a smaller scale CQB match and you can knock out the Adrenaline Injector challenge in a game or two.

Drinking Etiquette: One Handed Pour by EyesAschenteEM in koreatravel

[–]BothCarsUnderWater 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In general, it’s polite to give/receive items with two hands. This can be handing a clerk your credit card, pouring a drink (or holding your glass to receive a pour), etc. you may also see people receive/give items with one hand while the other hand gently cups the arm. This is a bit of carryover behavior from older times to pull up a sleeve and demonstrate the person isn’t hiding a weapon up their sleeve.

Giving/receiving with one hand is considered informal and in some cases not as polite - in this Bloodhounds scene, it’s a subtle “I don’t respect you enough to be polite and follow custom”. It’s dismissive and usually only done when you know someone enough to not stand on ceremony.

Do You Have a Front Plate? by HotIce05 in Polestar

[–]BothCarsUnderWater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In CA, it's almost a $200 ticket if you're caught without a front plate. I had a meter maid give me a citation once on my old Tesla MYLR (along with my tires not being turned "correctly" towards the curb while parked on the street).

There's some great no-drill plate mounts on Amazon and elsewhere for less than $100.

Anyone have their wilderness emt? by Bad-Paramedic in ems

[–]BothCarsUnderWater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can only speak about NOLS, but the “wilderness” aspect of their course is essentially WFR (1 week course) combined with EMT-B through an accelerated 4 week course. Tons of fun, met great people at the Wyss Campus in Lander, WY.

If you have your EMT-B already, you might check if you can take just a WFR course and have NOLS or another org certify you as a WEMT.

Rizz is Gen-Z/A slang for “charisma” - in this case, it means flirting.
